2026 McDonald’s Happy Meal Rumored to Celebrate Pokemon TCG’s 30th Anniversary
Who doesn’t love getting a little extra Pokemon with their McDonald’s Happy meal? Indeed, Pokemon/McDonald’s collaborations are essentially a time-honored tradition, and over the last several years they’ve become a cause of huge excitement for Pokemon TCG fans. While it’s been almost a year since the dragon-themed 2025 McDonald’s Pokemon set came out, it’s been rumored via an image making its way through various social media platforms that we will be getting a special Pokemon TCG McDonald’s set in February of 2026 celebrating 30 years of Pokemon cards.
The graphic appears to be leaking the 2026 McDonald’s Happy Meal schedule and most likely originated from this unofficial Facebook post.
While the graphic is well-made, it’s worth noting that some aspects including the font and layout don’t match other official McDonald’s marketing images. Still, the graphic is blowing up on social media causing many to speculate that this is an early leak seeming to imply a 2026 Pokemon McDonald’s set.
What Pokemon cards could be included in a 2026 McDonald’s Happy Meal set?
We don’t know yet what cards will be included in the 2026 Pokemon McDonald’s Happy meal – or whether we will even get one in the first place for that matter – but one focused on the Pokemon TCG’s 30th anniversary (which does take place in 2026) would make sense. After all, something similar was done to celebrate the Pokemon TCG’s 25th anniversary alongside the iconic Celebrations set five years ago.
Cards in that special McDonald’s Happy Meal set featured the special 25 Pikachu stamp reserved for cards and promos from the Celebrations Pokemon set. As such, many collectors even include these McDonald’s Promos as part of the greater Celebrations Master set, lending some pretty surprising value to them.
My best guess is that the 2026 McDonalds Happy Meal cards would also bear some sort of a special stamp, although most likely not the cute yellow Pikachu with the numbers but instead something else to set them apart.
It’s also highly likely that some of the cards that were included in the Japan exclusive McDonald’s promotion that celebrated the new Mega Evolution era of the Pokemon TCG would make their way into the North America Happy Meal promotion, including this incredibly cute Pikachu having a hamburger.

Apparently McDonald’s Japan had to halt sales of its Pokemon-themed products due to intense demand earlier in 2025. Given the massively hyped Ascended Heroes set coming out end of January right before the rumored McDonald’s promotion would take place, as well as renewed interest in the high-end Pokemon TCG market thanks to Logan Paul flaunting his five million dollar card around ahead of a January/February auction date, one thing that doesn’t seem in doubt is that if we do end up getting a Pokemon TCG Happy Meal anything like this one, it will likely sell out in droves.
