Chaos Rising Elite Trainer Box Review: is it Worth It?
Chaos Rising has been out long enough that lots of folks have been able to get their hands on products. Yet for those waiting on the fence wondering if they should go-in on an Elite Trainer Box, you might be glad to know that – unlike some recent ETBs – the Chaos Rising ETB featuring Mega Greninja ex has become a bit more affordable on the secondary card market.
I picked mine up from my partners at TCGPlayer during the Mayhem sale in May. Right now, it’s actually available for less than the local game stores in my area are selling it for, making it a solid option for collectors.

That’s nine packs, one set of Greninja sleeves, a Froakie Coin, dice, energy cards, a gorgeous Fennekin promo, and Greninja dividers to help organize the ETB box.
Greninja lovers (especially younger ones) are going to love the theming for this particular ETB. Of course for me, it’s always the packs that I get most excited about.
The ETB came with nine, providing solid value for its price point. And my hits weren’t bad: I got one Ultra Rare, one Illustration Rare, and two Double Rares – including Mega Greninja ex itself!
Is the Chaos Rising Elite Trainer Box worth it?
From a personal satisfaction standpoint, the ETB was 100% worth it. It was fun to open, came with top notch TCG accessories, a gorgeous promo, a very cool box, and even a few secret rare cards hiding inside the packs.
