Naruto Card Game: Alternate Art Illustrations Revealed for the First Time
Want to see some gorgeous, never-before-seen previews of upcoming alternate art cards for the Naruto Card Game?
Bandai’s Naruto Card Game will be releasing in the summer of 2027, but already the hype is palpable for this card game featuring one of anime’s most beloved IPs.
Lucky fans at Gen Con are experiencing some spoilers that were not revealed in yesterday’s info dump, including these gorgeous illustrations that will be included on future alternate art cards.
Naruto Card Game Alternate Art Illustrations (revealed at Gen Con)
These alternate art cards are quite unique – truly unlike anything I’ve seen in a TCG before. I suppose Bandai knew they had to go big on this one: Naruto is one of those few IPs capable of carrying an entire trading card game on its own shoulders.

While these are just visual concepts for alternate art cards we should be getting, they give us a profound idea of what this game is going to be all about. Interestingly but perhaps not surprisingly, the Akatsuki play a huge role in this particular batch of illustration arts, while the source material seems to be a healthy mix of the original Naruto as well as Shippuden.

Fans are sharing an up-close look at these illustrations, giving us an even better look at how gorgeous they are going to be when the game comes out. Early game testing reviews, meanwhile, are comparing the game more to Yu-Gi-Oh! than One Piece – the game that, from an appearance standpoint, Naruto TCG most resembles.
