If you thought recent sets like Chainsaw Man caused a big stir, you might be in for a similar kind of perfect storm when Re:ZERO drops. This anime is pretty hyped, with a brand-new season having just aired, and plenty of excitement among its fanbase for what looks to be a strong and gorgeous set.

Re:ZERO is following the recent and well-advised trend of including special alternate art cards you can get within Box Topper packs. Having a gorgeous and typically valuable box topper alt like this to chase gives players and collectors more reasons to pick up boxes – assuming they can find product.
Re:ZERO UNION ARENA products appear hot
While I’ve been hearing many reports of UNION ARENA products being vanishingly difficult to find, typically you can still buy products via TCGPlayer – although at a markup.
That being said, prices for Re:ZERO’s booster boxes are trending incredibly high even on the secondary market, with a recent sale for over $290 – more than 3x MSRP.

More than ever, players are going to need to look to Release Events to pick up the packs they need near MSRP. So when the Release Event period opens, make sure to sign up for as many local events as you can!
Re:ZERO Release Events
Speaking of Re:ZERO Release Events, the promo and winner card for that event has also been revealed. These events will be running from September 10-17, 2026.
You’ll get a Rem Release Event stamped alt promo and a Release Event Pack featuring two cards (also with stamps) just for attending, while Release Event winners will get the “WINNER” stamped foil promo for a little added flex.
Just make sure to lock in your events as soon as possible: this set is hot and it might be difficult to find spots at popular tournament shops. Signups go live on August 27, 2026.
Re:ZERO is the first set since Tokyo Ghoul to come with a starter deck
Unlike the early days of UNION ARENA that saw staggered releases between Starter Decks and Booster Packs/Boxes, nowadays everything is more streamlined. We’ll be getting the Re:ZERO Starter Deck the same day the booster drops: September 18, 2026. While the Starter Deck will likely be a big hit just for the deck included, it will also include key pieces for the other UNION ARENA decks.

These “key pieces” will usually appear in their typical “R” form, although you can get lucky and pull an alt art. You can see the four R* versions below.
Apart from these cool alt art cards, the starter deck will be built around the yellow energy color with Emilia at its core.
Re:ZERO Star cards and Serialized APs also revealed
Finally, many of the top chase cards from the set has been revealed, including the single * and Serialized AP cards. You can see these below.
Overall, with gorgeous alternate art cards, clear excitement for products ahead of even the prerelease period, a Starter Deck, and more, Re:ZERO could be another big hit for UNION ARENA. Now we just have to figure out where to get these hits…Happy hunting!
