With a host of powerful new mechanics – like the new team cards that feature two different characters in one card while allowing them to Shift onto multiple targets – and gorgeous artworks, Attack of the Vine! may go down in history as one of the biggest Lorcana sets ever.
But enough about that: what we really want to know is how valuable are its top chase cards going to be?

Other than including one of the most iconic romantic duos in Disney, what really stands out to me about this Iconic card are the colors. The colors are used to tell a story in this very busy artwork. In the foreground doused in a yellow light we have Belle and Beast dancing.
In the background we have the castle and setting shrouded in blue. And in the foreground, the angry Gaston and crew drenched in red.
It’s a compelling and colorful way to tell the story of Beauty and the Beast – one that will likely remain highly valuable on the secondary card market for some time.

While the Belle and Beast card wins in terms of visual splendor you can’t deny the popularity of these two characters. This Iconic is similar to the Belle and Beast in that it’s pretty busy: key moments from the story are being played out within the frame of a single card. Colors in this card are used less for the sake of visual storytelling and more artistically: blending in and out as the composition needs.
It’s not the visual masterpiece that Belle and Beast manages to be, but it’s a worthy chase, for sure.

Finally the Monsters, Inc. characters! This is the part that I’ve been most excited about getting to, and honestly for a set where Monsters, Inc. was featured so prominently in the marketing, I’m a little surprised to not see this Enchanted slightly higher on the list.
While you might typically think of Mike and Sully as being the dynamic duo from this particular story, Sulley and Boo make for both a fun team and a highly valuable top Attack of the Vine! card.

Tinker Bell would be very pleased to see herself featured right next to Peter Pan in this card. While Tinker Bell might be a smidge jealous of Wendy in the film, the two really do make a solid pair, and it’s hard to compete with that level of history.
The card’s artwork itself follows the same vein of most of these Enchanted and Iconic artworks: focusing on telling the complete story in one single plane. This one gets a bit abstract, but if you look closely many of the key moments from the movie are there.

Mike Wazowski is another character you would think might be higher up on the list. This is the first time we’ve seen Monsters, Inc. in a Lorcana set, after all. But this card’s current market price is still impressive, and given the historic nature of its inclusion in Attack of the Vine!, it could end up being one card that holds onto some value.

One of the last duos on the list is an evil one: Maleficent and Diablo. While Diablo is more of a henchman than a partner in crime like most of the other duos on this list, it’s still a creative pairing and a captivating artwork – even among the many Maleficent cards we’ve had in Lorcana to date.

While I was originally going to write a top 10 most expensive Attack of the Vine! cards list, I had to stretch it to top 11 after seeing Pocahontas and Meeko only just barely made the cut. Personally, I think we’ll see this card move up in value relative to the rest of the cards in the top ten. This card is just so beautiful, and perfectly encapsulates one of the film’s most memorable moments.
While it’s still early, Attack of the Vine is off to a very impressive start in terms of value for its top chase cards on the secondary market. With challenging pull rates (less than 1% according to some observations), these Enchanted and Iconic cards are likely to retain solid value. They’re unique even among Lorcana cards for their Team mechanic, delivering double the character in a single card.
