The Most Expensive Avatar: The Last Airbender Magic Cards

Looking to chase the most expensive Avatar: The Last Airbender cards?

Below, we’ll be looking at four unique alternate art cards that can only be found in the Magic Avatar Collector packs. These four borderless, neon ink foils draw inspiration from the iconic intro to Avatar: The Last Airbender while simultaneously featuring four of the series’s most loved characters. Early confirmed sales data paints a compelling picture of just how valuable these cards are – a fact that will certainly drive a ton of collectors to chase packs in hopes of pulling them for themselves.

#1 Avatar Aang (Raised Foil)

The most expensive Avatar: The Last Airbender Magic Card

Ready to enter the Avatar state? Avatar Aang’s greatest power is to enter the Avatar State – power that sees him gain all the extraoridnary powers of past Avatars throughout all of time. Here he is depicted in this ultimate state at two different points of the story. This card is apparently so rare and desirable that it can attract insane asking prices. While it will probably be a while before actual, reliable market data is confirmed for this card, early asking prices hover around $10,000.

#2 Fire Lord Zuko (Borderless) (Neon Ink Foil)

Fire Lord Zuko

Market price: $2500

This alternate art card featuring the legendary Zuko in his Fire Lord getup is currently the second most expensive card in Magic’s Avatar set. And it’s not hard to imagine why this card featuring the iconic Fire bending action pose would end up so valuable. Zuko is arguably the best, most fleshed out character in the entire show. He goes from being a whiny, angry, and entitled prince to one of Aang’s greatest allies. While he’s not ultimately the strongest bender in the universe, he makes up for what he lacks in power through determination – always willing to put himself on the line to get stronger and do what he thinks he must.

More than any other character in the series, Zuko’s twists-and-turns in terms of character development will leave you gutted.

#3 Aang, Swift Savior (Borderless) (Neon Ink Foil)

Aang

Market price: $2,112

While maybe not as popular as Zuko, this epic Aang chase is instantly iconic, bearing the Avatar himself in what appears to be the avatar state and leveraging his signature airbending pose. Aang is a powerful character and very powerful. He bears an incredible burden in the Avatar universe, yet always remains lighthearted about it. Clearly the Avatar/Magic crossover is working, helping drive this card to an impressive early price tag that clears $2,000.

#4 Katara, the Fearless (Borderless) (Neon Ink Foil)

Katara

Listing price: $1000+

From a lore standpoint, Katara is one of the strongest characters in Avatar: The Last Airbender, and an incredibly solid character. She’s right up there alongside Aang and Zuko as one of the most important characters in her world, and by the end of the series she becomes one of the strongest waterbenders around.

While this card doesn’t have a confirmed market price yet, I wouldn’t be surprised to see it end up right up there alongside the other chart topping cards. It does have a recent sale listed at $2500, although other current listings trend lower.

#5 Toph, the First Metalbender (Borderless) (Neon Ink Foil)

Toph The First Metalbender

Market price: $1,789

Toph is a beloved character in Avatar, and this card’s impressive market value reflects that. Although originally a powerful Earthbender, Toph is the first to take Earthbending to the next level, learning how to control the materials within metal. This becomes a powerful superpower for here, and that development is reflected in this card. It’s a worthy tribute to one of Avatar’s most likeable characters.

There are plenty more rare and valuable cards to chase in Magic’s Avatar: The Last Airbender set, so make sure to check back often as we’ll be updating this list as more data becomes available!
