Three Exclusive Cards Added to That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime UNION ARENA English Version
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is UNION ARENA’s first Special Booster Pack set: one that has both the first and second volume included in it. But as if that weren’t “special” enough, it’s got some extra goodies: three English Version exclusive cards that help modernize the set and make it more versatile into the current UNION ARENA English meta.
#1 Fake Two-Cost Blue Rimuru
While Blue is already anticipated to be the deck to watch from this set, it gets stronger in the English Version directly out of the box thanks to this handy fake two-cost Blue Rimuru. Looking at this card might make you feel a case of déjàvu – Rimuru has a similar passive effect to Kenshin, one that causes their character to lose BP. That can, of course, be shut off by other effects in the Blue deck, unlocking plenty of power and making this a low-cost 4000 BP threat.
However, more than that, the real strategic advantage of this card is that it doubles as a zero-cost, helping you make more room in your deck without needing to run so many low-cost characters. As if that weren’t enough, it comes prepackaged with a handy filter effect that should make it easier for you to find the cards you need.
#2 Four-Cost Purple Shion
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime isn’t just being blessed with a fake two-cost: it’s also going to be getting this handy free-play character. The UNION ARENA English meta is increasingly dominated by decks that can effortlessly fill their board with characters. Now Purple has access to an effortless free-play character who is also very strong in her own right.
#3 Five-cost Green Milim
While the other two cards added to the English Version help modernize the set, in five-cost Milim we have something a little more…well…special. A five energy-cost, two AP-cost character with 4000 BP and the Special Trigger, to be more exact. This may be the first time we’ve ever had a character with a Special trigger – typically that’s reserved for Events. However, given the insane removal you get in this deck, perhaps it’s more important to build up your energy reserves while also gaining an impregnable defense. Should help making it to that high energy-cost the Green deck needs to pull off its strongest moves.
Clearly the UNION ARENA development team isn’t messing around in 2026. Coming out with a new set that has both Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 sets bundled together, complete with brand new cards that help modernize the decks is a bold move. And players will enjoy it, giving them a chance to experiment with new strategies that stand a bold chance of topping their local events.
