UNION ARENA: Most Expensive Kaiju No. 8 Cards

Kaiju No. 8 is a fantastic, recent anime that could end up becoming known as one of the greats depending on how things go from here following it’s first few seasons. With that being said, some of the coolest UNION ARENA alternate art cards are included in the Kaiju No. 8 set. Which of these will be the most expensive? Let’s take a look at the most expensive Kaiju No. 8 cards below.

#1 Kaiju No. 8 SR***

This epic SR*** is unique even among the grattifying SR*** cards we’ve had to date in UNION ARENA, featuring a photo realistic art style that calls to mind some of the 3D animation present in the show’s intro. It’s the perfect way to encapsulate what makes both the Kaiju No. 8 show and UNION ARENA set special, and as such could actually end up fetching a bit more than the regular $200-$400 price tag typical of SR*** UNION ARENA chase cards.

#2 Mina SR**

According to a very scientific poll I ran in the JWA Discord community, Mina is the top chase from the set other than the SR***. And for good reason. For starters, she’s an immensely popular character. Second, her deck is arguably the strongest Kaiju No. 8 deck of them all.

While there are plenty of different variations of Mina’s card in this set including many different, alternate arts, her SR** should be the most valuable. I’d put her price tag at around $200.

#3 Kaiju No. 8 SR**

While the SR*** doesn’t have a signature, we do get one with the SR** for Kaiju No. 8 himself, making this card a must-have for any serious collector. It should be worth a similar value to the Mina SR**, but I’d give the slight edge to Mina in terms of price.

#4 Kikoru SR**

Kikoru SR**

Market price: $150

Kikoru is a character who massively grew on me when I was watching Kaiju No. 8. At first she felt like something of a stock badass character with little depth. But once you get to know her better you realize she’s a multifaceted character with a strong devotion to her friends. And it doesn’t hurt she’s absolutely powerful with a solid soundtrack to boot. She’s already trending high on the secondary card market and should retain her value decently well over time.

#5 Kafka Hibino

One of the biggest strengths of Kaiju No. 8 as a show is how many great characters it has. Still, Kafka gets major credit for being the central character, and also a very likeable one. Will his SR** be the most expensive of them all? I’m banking on some of the others taking his spot. But never underestimate the market value of an overpowered main character!
