UNION ARENA: Solo Leveling, Evangelion, Sword Art Online Vol. 2 Announced
Bandai dropped a fairly major bombshell on all of us on May 21, 2025 via their official YouTube channel highlighting several new titles and one exciting volume 2 entering the UNION ARENA English version. Those are Evangelion, Solo Leveling, and Sword Art Online Volume 2.
Below, let’s look at every piece of information shared via this massive drop and how it will impact the English version of the game.
Solo Leveling and Evangelion are coming to the UNION ARENA English Version
The two biggest announcements from the May 21st stream are two epic new titles coming to the English version of the game. The first is Evangelion based on the hit anime.
The second is Solo Leveling – an entirely new title coming to UNION ARENA, not just the English version. Given the huge hype around that anime, I can only imagine what the excitement is going to be for that set.
Sword Art Online is getting a Volume 2!
More exciting to me personally than either of those two titles, however, is the somewhat skimmed over announcement about Sword Art Online Volume 2. I’m totally stoked about this set perhaps more than any other right now. While an official release date has not been given, I can only hope it comes out sooner rather than later.

Additional UNION ARENA spoilers revealed
This announcement was something of a mashup of already revealed cards with first time looks at cards we haven’t ever seen before in English. Check out the cards revealed during the announcement via the gallery below.
Exclusive Regional Prizes revealed
While we have yet to receive much of a schedule for UNION ARENA Regionals (with the first event selling out rapidly), we do have our first look at what the prizing is going to be for the event. Check out the AP card you can win and the playmat exclusively from topping a regional.
And that’s it for now! The May 21, 2025 YouTube announcement certainly dropped a ton of news for us to digest. But if anything is clear, it’s an excellent time to be an anime fan and an even better time to be a UNION ARENA fan with plenty of titles, new volumes, and exciting prizes and rare cards to chase coming up for the rest of the year! Stay tuned for more.
