First Partner Illustration Collection Series 2 Releases Today – Here’s What’s Inside

Pokémon TCG fans are once again lining up around the block at stores everywhere on June 19, 2026 in hopes of bagging the First Partner Illustration Collection Series 2 releasing today. Although there’s plenty of fervor for this particular box collection, it’s actually not all that expensive on the secondary card market right now (see below).

However, the Series 1 collection that featured the original starter Pokémon from Kanto has been going up in price. So it could be trainers are hoping to bag Series 2 before it becomes likewise hard-to-find in the wild.

First Partner Illustration Collection Series 2 Contents

While the First Partner Illustration Collection Series 2 contains just one “First Partner Illustration Pack” containing three of nine promo cards, two Pokémon TCG booster packs from recent sets, and one sticker sheet, the real pull here is the promo cards. Each First Partner Illustration Pack includes one set of three starters from a different region, this time Johto, Unova, and Galar.

How valuable are the First Partner Illustration Collection Series 2 cards?

In case you needed proof of why it is that these promos are the primary reason for driving value for this product, just look at how much the Cyndaquil is fetching right now on TCGPlayer.

That’s some pretty solid value for a single promo card. However, you aren’t just getting one of these in your First Partner pack: you’re getting three. And each of these cards is highly valuable, making even the current market price on TCGPlayer pretty much a steal.

Given my experience opening the Series 1 product, I can say these are absolutely fun products to bag and open. However, they also make excellent choices for virtually any Pokémon fan: from the cost-aware investor, to the collector looking for a good score, to the casual fan just looking to have fun opening some nostalgic favorites.
