Gorgeous New Images Reveal Bushiroad’s Kirito & Asuna 2026 Wedding Collection

This year, Sword Art Online fans are getting something unique to celebrate Kirito and Asuna’s wedding anniversary with: a special wedding anniversary collection by Annivroad by Bushiroad Creative Store. The collection itself is already on sale online, but fans in Japan will be able to pick these products up in person at a special pop-up store from October 23, 2026 to November 3, 2026 at the Shinjuku Marui Annex 2F.

Although the collection has been revealed for some time, the Bushiroad-owned Annivroad recently shared several high quality images that highlight the many products available in this one-of-a-kind collection.

The above image clearly depicts a bridal-themed collection of Sword Art Online merchandise to commemorate the event. Everything from mugs, coasters, art panels, wedding invitations, stands, and more are themed for the occasion, immersing fans in the world of SAO.

The art panel depicts an important scene to fans

Although an officially endorsed collab, the depictions in this collection slip into fantasy even beyond the imaginative world of Sword Art Online. Indeed, the Art Panel highlighted above depicts a moment we’ve not necessarily had before, but one fans undoubtedly long for: Kirito and Asuna’s wedding day.

While October 23rd remains a big day for fans as it’s the anniversary of the day the two wed in Aincrad, many still hope for the real-world nuptials to take place in the story. Were that to happen, the end result would likely look something like this.

Yet, for whatever reason, Kirito and Asuna have yet to tie-the-knot outside of the virtual world, although the 2017 film Ordinal Scale heavily implied things headed that way.

Kirito and Asuna Mug

And while the art panel may be the biggest highlight, I also like this Kirito/Asuna sketched wedding mug, and would totally drink my morning cup of coffee with it, while poring over my favorite SAO light novel.

And while Asuna and Kirito are frequently seen drinking coffee and tea together throughout the series, perhaps this coffee cup is most reminiscent of the scene in Sugary Days where the two enjoy a cup while discussing Asuna’s desire for a certain rocking chair…

And while Kirito and Asuna’s wedding anniversary draws a tremendous amount of attention every year (especially on places like X where Japanese fans are more than excited to share congrats to their favorite couple), this year there is undoubtedly extra excitement for the occasion due to the official launch of the Sugary Days light novel in Japan.

Sugary Days chronicles the events of Kirito and Asuna’s honeymoon following their marriage in Aincrad. While we do join them in their log cabin on the 22nd floor, the bulk of their adventures together as newlyweds are largely skipped over. Thus, Sugary Days fills an important and fan favorite moment in the story.

To that end, Sugary Days has been incredibly successful so far in Japan, topping Oricon’s monthly light novel chart for August 2026, and even beating out powerhouse titles from One Piece and Nintendo in the process.

For many in the States, it can feel a little odd to see just how many unique collections Sword Art Online gets overseas. While here Sword Art Online remains a well-known franchise, it’s largely associated with video games and anime. We also get light novels, audiobooks, and manga here, too, but in Japan the franchise feels more like a cultural force than just another anime.

Ultimately, it’s the kind of collection that makes you want to pick something up, even if you can’t easily get it in person. More than anything, the photos show how much love is still being put into Kirito and Asuna’s story. And with many more releases to come – including a major motion picture, light novels, manga, and game releases – you get the feeling that the best is yet to come for these two.
