While it’s been a while since it came out, few anime have matched the power of Death Note at it’s peak. The anime is absolute peak when it’s at its best. $20.90 (as of 02:38 PM)
🔥 Ends in · Prime Exclusive · Save 52% ($23.06)

There are actually several good deals on Attack on Titan box sets right now for the manga, but my pick is the one that started it all. Indeed, my absolute favorite part of Attack on Titan spans these first four volumes (roughly the first 13 episodes of the anime), making this as much of a nostalgic pick for me as anything.

$42.04 (as of 02:39 PM)
🔥 Ends in · Prime Exclusive · Save 65% ($78.85)

For this one I have a confession to make: I’ve not actually seen or read FAIRY TAIL myself. That being said, I’ve had enough friends with similar taste in anime to my own recommend this to me that I have to highlight this epic deal on the box set containing the first 11 volumes.

Naruto is having something of a cultural revival amongst fans right now. Word of a live action film, and a highly anticipated upcoming card game from Bandai are giving the knuckle headed ninja a lot of clout right now. At 50+% off, this manga set is a great way to dive back into the series, even if you’ve been away for it for a time.
Good deals on must-read single manga volumes
While the manga box sets provide the biggest discounts this October Prime Day, you can get some decent discounts on single volumes as well.
Sword Art Online Progressive Canon of the Golden Rule, Vol. 1 (manga) (Volume 1)
Current Amazon Price
$9.49 (as of 02:45 PM)
🔥 Save 27% ($3.51)
Prices and availability subject to change. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
Sword Art Online has so many different manga series that it can feel overwhelming on where to get started. That being said, this is a particularly good deal on one manga that I’m planning on picking up myself. Based on the sixth floor of Aincrad, this Sword Art Online Progressive manga drew me in with its unique take on its character design for Asuna and Kirito. Not to mention floor six has some stellar moments between the two as they attempt to clear its many puzzles and challenges.

Kaiju No. 8 is another excellent story that’s a bit less dark than some of the other stuff the kids are into these days. So far, only two seasons of the show are out, making it relatively easy to get caught up to where the anime is at via the manga.

$10.40 (as of 02:51 PM)

Vinland Saga is one of my favorite anime series. Whether you’ve seen the show or not, you can’t go wrong with diving into the manga’s first book, especially at such a steep discount as this.
What makes Vinland Saga so great?
Well, if you love this particular era of history, then it’s a must-read. Thorfinn is the story’s hero, and he’s one of the early settlers of Iceland. While he comes from a loving family and powerful father, he must set out on his own and attempt to avenge his father’s death.
What unfolds around him, however, are some of the most important episodes of the Viking era.

Current Amazon Price
$7.49 (as of 02:54 PM)
🔥 Save 38% ($4.50)

The BLEACH Manga was one of the first ever manga that I read, and the very best moments of the anime perfectly encapsulate what made this work so popular in the beginning. Its unique style is up there with the best manga, and helped build the foundation of one of anime’s most influential franchises.

I recently watched the Evangelion Rebuild movies for the first time, and believe me when I tell you that they were intense. They were also better than the original show that aired decades ago. If you’re a serious Evangelion fan, then this Steelbook could make for an excellent collector’s piece at a solid discount.

If you’re looking for an earlier anime masterpiece and you haven’t seen it yet, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time is an absolute classic. It’s one of the first ever anime films I’ve seen, and has left a lasting impression on how I view the medium, to say the least.

$16.99 (as of 03:08 PM)
🔥 Ends in · Prime Exclusive · Save 41% ($11.99)
Prices and availability subject to change. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
This recommendation is a total anime deep cut from me, but if you are a fan of Your Name or the more recent Suzume, then you might really enjoy 5 Centimeters Per Second. While a bit heartbreaking at times, it shows off Shinkai’s budding style and storytelling that he would eventually mature into blockbusters like Your Name.
GARDEN OF WORDS
Current Amazon Price
$17.69 (as of 03:11 PM)
🔥 Save 41% ($12.29)
Prices and availability subject to change. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
Speaking of deep cuts, the other early work of Shinkai’s that I’d like to highlight is the excellent film,The Garden of Words. This one might be Shinkai’s greatest, despite being lesser known. Both are available at heavy discounts right now, making them accessible for those wanting to try them out without a huge investment.
Your Name. [Blu-ray]
Current Amazon Price
$18.89 (as of 03:18 PM)
🔥 Save 30% ($8.09)
Prices and availability subject to change. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
Of course, if you’ve heard me talk about Shinkai a bunch of times in this guide and have no idea what I’m talking about, he’s the guy who is responsible for one of the highest grossing anime films of all time, Your Name. It’s a film that has forever changed the way the mainstream thinks about anime, especially its role at the box office. If you haven’t seen it before, you can pick it up at a discount on Prime Day.
That’s it for now! Take advantage of these Prime Day October deals and explore what else an Amazon Prime Membership has to offer!
