Pokemon 30th Celebration Release Day Guide: Card List, Pull Rates, Products

Happy Pokémon 30th celebration release day!

This set is absolutely massive. It’s so big, it can be a little overwhelming to know where to start.

To help your Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration get off on the right foot, we’re going to be going over everything you absolutely need to know to get started.

Get stoked for Pokémon 30th with a new promo video

This morning, the Pokémon Company released this brand new promotional video to commemorate the massive release. “Three decades and still evolving” is the tagline, and it couldn’t be more true. I was just talking about how Pokémon as a franchise always manages to feel new despite being relatively old at this point.

Key 30th Celebration products releasing on September 16, 2026

30th Celebration has a robust range of products to collect. However, many of them won’t be releasing until later this year.

These are the products you’ll be wanting to keep an eye out for on release day.

The 30th Celebration ETB is one of the hottest products from the set. It has 9 30th Celebration booster packs, a Nidorina Illustration Art style promo, sleeves, energy, dice, coin, player’s guide and a sturdy box to store everything in. Easily the top product overall from the set for the widest variety of collectors and players.

I got two of these Poster Collections packs at the GameStop midnight release. Poster Collections are always a fun buy, and this poster collection looks particularly good. It’s a bit bigger than what you might expect, and the front pictures the same 30th Celebration artwork you’ll find on the booster pack.

The back might be even cooler: it has all of the cards from the set. The RGB Mew is noticeably absent, playing into the “hidden” nature of that pull.

30th Celebration Poster Back

Lastly, not only does the Poster Collection come with the poster and three 30th Celebration booster packs, it also includes three special promos featuring the Legendary Bird Trio: Moltres, Articuno, and Zapdos.

The Poster Collection is easily the second best product you can purchase on release day.

The Tech Sticker collection comes with a set of stickers themed around Pikachu, Mew, Mewtwo, Lucario, and/or Alolan Exeggutor (depending on which collection you get). It also comes with a unique promo: either Alolan Exeggutor or Lucario.

While of course your actual pull experience will vary, it was from my Alolan Exeggutor Tech Sticker Collection that I got my best pull of the set so far: the elusive and valuable Jirachi ex Special Illustration Rare.

Eevee is of course an adorable Pokémon, and a fairly important one for this set given how many Eeveelutions are getting cards. What makes this Eevee particularly special, however, is that it is a foil card.

Want the Eevee promo at a more affordable price point? The Knock Out Collection featuring Eevee has the same foil card for less. Maybe people just don’t know what a Knock Out Collection is? You still get the two promo packs and the Eevee, just not the Eevee coin.

30th Celebration Complete Card List

Because the 30th Celebration is the first simultaneous worldwide release for the Pokémon TCG, its complete card list remained a mystery until yesterday. Going into release day, however, we know every single card from the set.

In total, 30th Celebration includes:

  • 199 all-foil cards

  • 128 main set cards (including 30 Pikachu cards)

  • 33 secret rares

  • 30 Classic Collection cards

  • Eight Basic Energy cards

Key cards to watch from this set include three new card rarities never seen in the Pokémon TCG before: Futuristic Rares, Pikachu Rares, and the mysterious RGB rarity.

Pokémon 30th Classic Collection card list

In addition to the main set list and secret rare cards, 30th Celebration also includes a Classic Collection subset. This subset includes 30 unique reprints of classic cards. Several of these should be quite desirable, including the reprint of the Crystal Lugia originally from Aquapolis and the legendary Base Set Charizard.

Pikachu Rare card list

As if Futuristic Rare cards, Classic Collection reprints, and a mysterious RGB Mew weren’t enough, Pokémon is also throwing us yet another pleasant curveball: a special new Pikachu Rarity. Each 30th Celebration booster pack contains one Pikachu Rare card. The Pikachu Rare card is an incredibly fun mechanic introduced in 30th Celebration. The cards themselves look gorgeous with a special fireworks foiling and a big 30th Anniversary stamp in the middle of the card text.

Clearly there are some pretty amazing cards you can pull from 30th Celebration packs. But what are your odds of actually getting them? Well luckily some significant pull rate data has already been compiled by TCGTalk. They gathered data across 652 verified booster packs, giving us a pretty solid look into what to expect for this set.

The good news for collectors: hit rates are insanely good in 30th Celebration.

Futuristic Rare – 1 in 81.5 packs (1.2%)

Turns out Futuristic Rarity cards aren’t so hard to come by, after all. While 1 in 81.5 packs still gives you around a 1% chance of hitting one, that’s significantly better than your odds of hitting a Mega Hyper Rare, and almost as good as your odds of getting an SIR from recent sets like Pitch Black or Ascended Heroes.

Special Illustration Rare – 1 in 18 packs (5.5%)

Sylveon ex SIR

Here is where things get really exciting: odds are insanely good that you’ll pull an SIR from your 30th Celebration packs when compared to any recent set. At the observed percentage per pack, you’re about as likely to get an SIR from a 30th Celebration booster pack as you are to get an Ultra Rare from Ascended Heroes.

While this enhances the pull experience, it also does generally diminish the value of SIRs overall. Simply put, getting an SIR in this set alone isn’t enough to make a card valuable. Instead, its value will largely be dependent on the popularity and demand of the specific card, and Pokémon printed on it.

Classic Collection – 1 in 10 packs (9.8%)

Classic Collection

Classic Collection cards are relatively easy to pull, sitting right around the 10% mark. However, what will really determine the value of any given card from this special subset is what exactly the reprint is of.

Illustration Rare – 1 in 5 packs (18.4%)

Illustration Rare cards have an incredible pull rate in 30th Celebration. To put things in perspective, your odds of hitting an IR from this set’s booster packs is roughly similar as hitting a Double Rare in Ascended Heroes and Pitch Black.

Double Rare – 1 in 4.6 packs (22%)

Double Rare cards are just a little more common than Illustration Rare cards, and are the one “hit” with a more regular rarity compared to other Mega Evolution sets.

Pikachu Rare – 1 in every pack (100%)

While you may have a 100% chance of hitting a Pikachu Rare in your pack, Pikachu Rare cards vary in value just like everything else – making some more desirable than others.

RGB Mew – Unknown

Last but not least is the now legendary Mew RGB card. This card is supposedly insanely hard to pull, with estimates putting it in the tens of thousands of boxes. While it may be a long time before we know the pull rates for this particular card, it is without a doubt the toughest chase card to hit in all of 30th Celebration.

With gorgeous cards, generous pull rates, hidden rares, classic reprints and a Pikachu in every pack, it’s hard to put into words how big Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration feels as a release. Really, the best way to experience it is to get your hands on products yourself.
