Pokémon is Taking Over Oracle Park to Celebrate Worlds in August
Pokémon Worlds is happening in San Francisco this year on August 30, 2026, and to celebrate, San Francisco’s home baseball team is hosting a special Pokémon Worlds Night at Oracle Park on August 27, 2026.
Attendees will be able to get a special Pikachu jersey (pictured above) as well as join in a bunch of Pokémon fun that includes live baseball, in-game Pokémon GO events (including PokéStops and gyms throughout the park), a Pokémon drone show, and more! As if that weren’t enough, Pikachu itself will be throwing the first pitch.
Pokémon GO exclusive events and in-park locations
A huge part of the fun of this Pokémon-themed baseball night is going to be all of the exclusive Pokémon GO events you get to take part in. These include PokéStops located at the following spots in the park:
Willie Mays Plaza
The Garden in center field
Trophy Display Case on the Promenade Level behind home plate
Toyota Fan Zone Mini Ballpark in the left field bleachers
Cable Car above the center field bleachers
But that’s not all. Pokémon GO players will also gain access to exclusive activations that include Raid Battles (with a Pikachu with Location background), special Timed Research and event-themed Field Research, in-game avatar items and more!
Catch the Pokémon Worlds Night Drone Show from your seats
You won’t have to go anywhere to watch the Drone Show following the game. Those who purchase a Special Event ticket for the evening can catch the Pokémon Drone Show from their seats and celebrate the beginning of a big week. “Themed images of your favorite Pokémon will entertain all fans in attendance on Thursday, August 27, after the Giants take on the Arizona Diamondbacks.”
