Pokémon TCG Delta Reign Prerelease Guide: Promos and Decks Revealed
The Delta Reign prerelease promos have been revealed in English ahead of the November 6, 2026 release date. These promos will be available within Build & Battle Boxes as part of Delta Reign prerelease events that begin October 24, 2026.

Pokémon TCG prereleases are a fun way to get hands-on experience with new cards before the main set comes out. They can be attended at many local game shops. They’re also beginner-friendly, gifting players with complete, 40-card decks that have everything they need to compete within the prerelease format.
In addition to prebuilt decks, Build & Battle Boxes come with exclusive Prerelease Promos that include the set’s logo as a stamp, and four booster packs you can use to customize your prerelease deck.
Delta Reign prerelease promos revealed
Four different prerelease stamped cards will be included in Delta Reign Build & Battle boxes, each offering a distinct strategy players can build their decks around. Some of the cards that will be included in each of the Build and Battle Boxes to support these strategies were also released. Each Build & Battle Box will include two of these cards, but only one will be the stamped promo version.
Masquerain and the ‘Bug Out’ deck
Bug Out makes Masquerain a powerful attacker for the prerelease format. The only caveat: you’ll need to stack your bottom seven cards with Pokémon that have the Bug Out attack. To help you achieve this, your Build & Battle kit will include Sizzlipede, Spinarak, and Sacred Ash.
Sizzlipede and Spinarak will help power up Masquerain’s main attack, while Sacred Ash can be used to fill your deck with even more Pokémon with the ‘Bug Out’ attack.
Delta Reign prerelease tip
Because you will be relying on having plenty of Pokémon cards with the Bug Out attack in your deck, include as many Bug Out Pokémon as you can from your Delta Reign booster pack into your 40-card deck. This will increase your odds of a successful one-hit-knock-out, helping you get your four prize cards much faster.
Magmortar
Magmortar is a surprisingly self-contained attacker for the prerelease format. Use Buddy Boost to accelerate energy onto your Pokémon to get off attacks like Heat Crash with ease. However, Heat Crash is far from the strongest attack you’ll be able to pull off in your prerelease deck.
The Magmortar kit will include the powerful Electivire, capable of taking huge knockouts with Voltaic Hammer.
Adventure Lantern can further enhance your ability to accelerate energy and take big knockouts. It will also be included in the Magmortar prebuilt deck.
Enamorus is Delta Reign’s Basic attacker
So far, the two prerelease decks discussed focus on Stage 1 Pokémon. These Pokémon have solid attacks but have a minor trade-off of needing to be evolved before being deployed. Meanwhile, being just a Basic Pokémon gives this Enamorus a distinct advantage. Rising Heart is its deadly attack. It can be used to knock out low hanging fruit on your opponent’s board.
Meanwhile, if your opponent manages to pull a Pokémon ex from their packs, that won’t be an issue. Rising Heart scales to 200 total damage, unlocking a favorable prize trade even into two or three-prize Pokémon.
And while that energy cost may seem high, you’ll be able to reduce its cost to a reasonable two Psychic Energy if you manage to fill your board with Tornadus, Landorus, and Thundurus.
The cool thing about this deck strategy, however, isn’t just being able to knock out Pokémon ex: it’s that this deck actually acts as a toolbox deck. Having all of your incarnate forces assembled on your bench and in the active spot means having access to a powerful toolbox of attackers.
For example, Tornadus can attack using Corkscrew Dive without even having an energy attached. It will do 70 damage with this attack: a high number for the prerelease format, especially if you get those swings in early.
Delta Reign prerelease tip
Given its strong range of attacks and the fact that you can access these attacks via Basic Pokémon, this deck has the potential to be the strongest in the Delta Reign prerelease format.
However, to ensure you have what you need to succeed, you’ll want to look out for several cards. First, any and all copies of the above named cards found in your booster packs should be included in your deck. This will increase your chances of drawing into these Pokémon.
Additionally, look out for cards that search Pokémon out. While your prebuilt deck should have several, Pokémon cards found in Delta Reign with attacks like Find a Friend can help speed up the process.
Go big or go home with Kommo-o
Last we have this set’s Stage 2 deck strategy: Kommo-o. Admittedly, if you manage to get Kommo-o set up, you gain access to an unmatched energy acceleration engine, capable of powering up the Druddigon that is included in the prerelease kit. However, there are other Dragon-type Pokémon you can pull from packs that can then be powered-up with Kommo-o’s Beat Scales.
For example, you should be on the lookout for the powerful Cyclizar: a Dragon-type Pokémon card releasing in Delta Reign that can attack the opponent’s Active Pokémon and one on the bench.
