The 20 Best Eevee Grove Chase Cards, Ranked
It’s hard to not get overly excited about any Pokemon set that features a plethora of Eeveelutions. As spoiled by the set’s name, Eevee Grove is all about Eevee and its many evolutions. Which ones are going to be the biggest chase cards for collectors? Below, let’s look at the top hits from Pokemon Pocket’s latest set.
#1 Eevee ex Immersive Art
It seems that for once an Umbreon won’t be the primary chase of an Eevee set. In this set, we are instead getting an immersive Eevee ex as the top chase. However, I can’t completely say this card doesn’t have Umbreon because in the extended artwork, every single Eeveelution is included, making this the crown jewel of Eevee Grove chase cards.
#2 Eevee Bag Crown Rare
Who doesn’t love a good Eevee bag? Here we have the very bag that Penny is somewhat iconic for wearing. While not a Pokemon ex crown rare, this card is memorable enough to drive many players and collectors to pay their weight in Poke Gold in hopes of acquiring.
#3&4 Sylveon & Flareon ex Full Arts
Sylveon ex isn’t necessarily the most popular of all Eeveelutions, but having a two-star alt art of it makes it highly rare and desirable. The same, of course can be said about Flareon ex. Of the two, Flareon ex might have a little more appeal, given its status as one of the original Eeveelutions.
#5 Dragonite ex Full Art
Although the overall artwork is different style, the pose this Dragonite is in reminds me of the Dragonite alt art from the other Eeveelution set from the physical trading card game, Evolving Skies. The colors in this card just work, and the balloon aesthetic fully draws us into the dreamworld this card is portraying.
#6 Umbreon One-Star
Although lower down on the rarity hierarchy, Umbreon is still the prized chase of all Eeveelutions. There’s a reason this card goes for thousands of dollars on the secondary card market via sets like Prismatic Evolutions. Umbreon remains the most popular Eeveelution and collectors will go bananas for this one.
#7-9 Shiny Legendary Birds
A set with both the Legendary Birds and Eeveelutions? How could Eevee Grove be anything but legendary? And not just any Legendary Birds but shiny variants! I’m putting all three of these shiny birds in the same spot on this list as they should all be equally desirable – an epic chase for an epic set.
#10-16 One-Star Eeveelutions
The one-star Eeveelutions look great, and should all be relatively high priority chase cards for anyone investing in the set. While the Umbreon will likely be the top tier chase, a few others that stands out to me for the quality of their artwork include the Leafeon, Glaceon, and Vaporeon.
#17 Primarina ex Full Art
While not an Eeveelution which might lower its desirability amongst collectors, this Primarina ex full art card is very gorgeous, and features the final evolved form of a well-loved starter, increasing its collectability.
#18 Snorlax Full Art
The two-star Snorlax isn’t necessarily the greatest alt art of Snorlax imaginable. However, Snorlax is still a very recognizable Pokemon, and oddly fitting for a nostalgia-fueled set like Eevee Grove. What I particularly like about this particular hit is how Snorlax is passed out in the middle of the road – a clear tribute to the original Pokemon games where you had to wake him up and battle him in order to progress.
#19 Penny Full Art
Penny’s Eevee backpack carries this card. However, fans of the Scarlet & Violet era of the Pokemon Video Games should enjoy this card well enough. Penny is, after all, a pretty major character in those games and her signature Umbreon gives her a significant tie-in with the theme of Eevee Grove.
#20 Shiny Gallade ex
To be honest, an incredibly rare shiny pull like this Gallade is something any Pockemon Pocket collector will be proud of. However, Gallade doesn’t typically top the list from a popularity perspective, which is the reason for it landing at the bottom of the ranking. Still a top pull, but likely a lower chase for most.
Clearly Eevee Grove is a behemoth of a Pokemon TCG Pocket set, displaying just how committed the Pokemon Company remains to keeping both the physical and digital card game going full steam ahead.
