The Top 10 Team Rocket’s Ambition Chase Cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket

Releasing everywhere on August 26, 2026, this set featured some pretty impressive build-up that included a hostile takeover of Pokemon TCG Pocket’s social media accounts and more.
But what are the top cards you can chase from the set?
As usual, I’ll be giving a rundown of Pokémon TCG Pocket’s latest set and the top chase cards for fans of the game. Let’s go!
#1 Shiny Mega Charizard Y
For starters I have to share this Shiny Mega Charizard Y ex card. Of course, as a Charizard chase card it’s going to get a lot of attention. And while it doesn’t exactly fit the “Team Rocket” theme of the set, the eye-catching colors of this shiny form are enough to excite any Pokémon TCG collector.
#2 Team Rocket’s Master Plan – Immersive
Now onto the main event: Team Rocket!
Being this is a Team Rocket set, it’s only fitting that one of the set’s top chase cards feature one of the most iconic criminal organizations of all time. At first glance, this card may not seem terribly impressive. But it’s in the immersive experience that this card becomes just too cool.
While you start with the Team Rocket grunts in the front, you slowly make your way inwards and upwards to take in the rest of the scene. The whole thing feels like a cross between a 70s detective film, a James Bond thriller, and epic cartoon excitement.
As you make your way up and down the skyscraper behind the grunts, you catch a ton of Pokémon related lore and Easter Eggs, including a quick shot of Jessie, James and Meowth!
Clearly a ton of work went into making this one of the stronger Immersive Art cards to date in Pokémon TCG Pocket. The end result: a card well-worth the chase.
#3 Team Rocket’s Moltres ex – Rainbow
The Legendary Birds always seem to end up in Team Rocket sets. Here Moltres is depicted in hyper realistic form, spreading its wings over the city teeming with nefarious and shady characters.
It’s a style that will be repeated in the other Legendary Bird cards included in this set, although none pulls the look off quite as well as this fiery bird.
#4 Team Rocket’s Articuno ex – Rainbow
Moltres may bring the fire, but Articuno brings the Ice. Whichever Pokémon pulls off the look better is up to you, but either way these Pokémon feel more like guardians of the Gotham-like backdrop, more than evildoers.
#5 Team Rocket’s Zapdos ex – Rainbow
Gripping the edge of this industrial looking apparatus is Zapdos. Instead of standing their, wings wide looking like a watching protector, this Zapdos gives off the aura of being on the hunt. With lightning piercing the sky behind it, it’s impossible to know for what. But the noir look totally fits the vibe presented in the Team Rocket’s Master Plan card.
#6 Team Rocket’s Lapras
I’m not going to lie: this card’s concept had me right from the start, and from a purely subjective standpoint, it may actually be my favorite card from the set. Lapras is almost always depicted as a serene force, almost at one with nature. Yet here it gets a personality flip: taking on an unmistakably devilish demeanor as its trainer peers through binoculars at his next score.
It’s a fun twist on a very memorable Pokémon, showing just how edgy Pokémon Pocket sets can be when they want to.
#7 Team Rocket’s Weezing ex – Rainbow
Etched in Chibi style, Team Rocket’s Weezing ex feels like a card destined to be a classic. Not only is it hilariously poisoning its own team, it’s doing so seemingly by accident. It’s moments like these that make you reconsider keeping a Poison-type around. Regardless, Weezing is the jelly to Team Rocket’s peanut butter sandwich, making its inclusion feel totally natural in the context of this set.
#8 Gholdengo – Crown Rare
Gholdengo isn’t exactly a Team Rocket-affiliated Pokémon, but it is the rarest Pokémon in the set, giving it some intrinsic chase worthiness.
#9 Team Rocket’s Boss
Team Rocket’s Boss returns – only this time he doesn’t even get his name on the card! But that’s alright. After all, we all know who he is. Giovanni is the original head honcho of Team Rocket, and he certainly looks that way in this card.
#10 Team Rocket’s Kecleon
Last but not least is this fun but easy to overlook Team Rocket’s Kecleon. Here, Kecleon is clearly leaning into the 70s spy movie vibe of the Team Rocket’s Master Plan Immersive Art. It even has a “Spy Ops” ability in case the picture wasn’t clear enough for you. The way this Pokémon is hanging from the ceiling feels more Mission: Impossible than anything else, while the colors and action combine to create a visually captivating card.
