Tiana’s Palace Opens in Disneyland – Pictures, Menu

Tiana’s Palace just opened today in Disneyland, and people are going crazy. We happened to be at the park today, so we have the full scoop.

This week at Disneyland has been pretty chill following Labor Day, with very low crowds in the park Tuesday and Wednesday. That changed, of course, today on Thursday when crowds seem back to more normal levels. Adding to this, no doubt, is the excitement over Tiana’s Palace. You can see from the pictures just how popular this eating place was today, with lines snaking around the premises and even back towards the Haunted Mansion ride with people excited to experience everything this eatery has to offer.

Guests Got to Hangout with Tiana

I’m not sure if this is going to be a permanent fixture of Tiana’s Palace (my guess would be probably not), but for today, at least, people eating at Taiana’s got to hangout with the Disney Princess herself. At least, I think that’s supposed to be Tiana, right?

Tiana’s Palace Menu and Food

Main Entrees

The main entrees include:

  • House Gumbo

  • 7 Greens Gumbo with Chicken & Andouille Sausage

  • Muffuletta Sandwich

  • Gulf Shrimp and Grits

  • Beef Po'boy Sandwich

  • Cajun Spiced Half Chicken

Take a look at the full menu on Disney’s website.

We’re glad to see that the Po’boy we loved from the old French Market is on the menu. However, we certainly miss the shrimp Po’boy which was our favorite.

All-in-all, however, the menu delivers on providing an authentic feeling Southern-style eating experience.

Final Verdict

Tiana's Palace

Tiana’s Palace is a nice addition to New Orleans Square, and visually speaking, it’s a nice update from the somewhat dated but beloved French Market that used to be there. We’d recommend not rushing to see it, however, as waiting so long just to eat when there are plenty of other great dining options available at the park seems a little unnecessary.
