Day and Night Pikachu ex Cards Spoiled for 30th Celebration

Two new Pikachu ex cards have been spoiled for Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration for the first time. Keeping with the set’s day and night theme, one Pikachu is pictured celebrating during the daytime, while the other is Zip Zapping its way through the night!

When it comes to Pikachu cards, it’s not all about the 30 foils in packs. There are also new Pikachu ex coming out in Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration, and these Pikachu want to party.

Pikachu ex “Pika-Pika Parade”

The first Pikachu ex is the daytime-themed card complete with “Pika-Pika Parade”: a celebratory attack that lets you search your deck for nay number of Basic Pokémon and put them onto your bench. That’s a pretty powerful bench setup play but also just a really fun, party-themed attack.

From the look of this digitally revealed card, the Pikachu ex also appears to have a special foiling pattern that covers the card and border – consistent with other spoilers we’ve seen revealed on camera.

Pikachu ex “Zip Zap Frenzy”

The other Pikachu ex spoiled today features a nighttime asthetic. It has “Zip-Zap Frenzy,” an attack that lets you fill your board with basic energy cards – a very strong play into certain decks that deal more damage for each energy on the field.

While both of these Pikachu ex cards are exciting, they’re likely going to offer a stronger appeal to collectors than necessarily players – although they do have merits on both ends of the spectrum.
