UNION ARENA: Every NIKKE Precious Booster Pack Deck, Ranked

NIKKE Precious Booster Pack has come to strengthen the lines with new cards. By far the strongest theme running through this special set is the inclusion of fake-two cost characters. Every major UNION ARENA set should get a special booster pack like this, with fake two-costs for every color. Doing so would considerably strengthen the decks.

With that being said, let’s dive into the strongest NIKKE decks after the Precious Booster. A couple of things you’ll notice in this latest guide: all Buy Deck buttons now will populate the complete deck in your TCGplayer cart, making it easier to get the cards you need.

#9 Yellow Exotic/Wardress

Starting with the weakest first, Exotic/Wardress gets surprisingly little out of the Precious Booster. What it does get is the new four-cost Viper.

And while this Viper character does pack a lot into a single card – Double Block, Draw, and Impact granting and BP boosting – it’s not enough to “fix” this otherwise low-tier deck.

That being said, having this addition to the strategy definitely makes the deck stronger for what it is – a fact which will be noticed by devoted Exotic/Wardress players. Players looking for a bigger step up from the original set, however, will prefer one of the many other decks in the set that get a significant upgrade.

#8 Purple Dorothy

Dorothy was one of the preferredNIKKE decks back when the original set came out. It gets some helpful additions in the Precious Booster, but other decks get more. The single strongest addition is a Triggerless fake two-cost character that you can also use as a Raid target for your five-cost Dorothy.

This adds the biggest utility boost to the deck, but the strongest aggressor is the very powerful new five-cost Dorothy. She will come in and switch to active while also forcing an opponent’s character to rest – assuming you hit the required number of Triggerless characters on the field/in your hand to discard.

Again, Dorothy does get stronger in this set. Other cards just get significantly more so.

#7 Green Tetra Line (Bunnies)

Tetra Line was always an interesting low-to-the-ground deck strategy. The Precious Booster just gives it a lot more bunnies. And that’s actually a big deal for one major reason: having a stronger removal special.

GOLDEN COIN RUSH Union Arena Card

The GOLDEN COIN RUSH special will remove opposing characters with ease while also boosting your own character’s BP, and letting you do additional deck filtering.

That’s a lot packed into a four-cost special.

Of course, you also get a bunch of other Bunny characters, with the strongest being the new Alice.

This Alice Bunny gives you a solid Nullify Impact character while also letting you free-play a character from your sideline.

Lastly, just like the other NIKKE decks in this set, Tetra Line gets a solid fake two-cost character to strengthen its lines early on. This Noir will let you draw a card and then place a card face down under a Tetra Line character on your field, strengthening your effects that rely on having face down cards under them (like the previously mentioned Alice).

The additions to Tetra Line in this set don’t make this deck top tier. But they do make the deck significantly better than what it was in the previous release.

#6 Purple Pioneer

Pioneer had good bones in NIKKE’s first set, but it really becomes almost a whole new deck with the upgrades it gets in the Precious Booster. While before it felt a bit clunky and awkward to use, now its suddenly a modern-feeling deck, complete with insane freeplay effects.

The strongest addition to the deck comes in the form of two different Raid characters. The first is a Raid for Scarlet.

Apart from having Nullify Impact and Recursion built into it (you’ll free play her base Raided character When Sidelined), Raid Scarlet has the ability to free-play your two AP cost Scarlet from your hand by simply sidelining itself.

While that’s solid enough, the new Crown Raid will allow you to build up your board presence even more swiftly thanks to a When Played that lets you draw and free-play a three energy cost character from your hand set to resting.

While the upper-end of the new NIKKE decks get very strong, this is a high mid-tier option that many players will enjoy. That combined with its many tricks carried over from the first set (like the anti-meta Snow White card with the Purple Color Trigger) make it a viable competitive option.

#5 Yellow Counters

Counters was a popular deck when the first NIKKE set came out. Following the Precious Booster, it’s much stronger. Three-cost Anise is very solid for a Raid Target, while the new Red Hood Raid gives even more aggression to the deck strategy that looks to overwhelm your opponent more through attacks than removal effects.

Of all the NIKKE decks following the Precious Booster, Counters is the fastest and most aggressive. While it functions largely the same as it did in the first set, these new additions (along with the fake two cost) make it a strong contender.

#4 Purple Scarlet/Red Hood (Goddess)

Red Hood adds a powerful new deck to the purple energy color. While some of this stuff was available in the first set, the bulk of the deck is new to the Precious Booster, making it easily the strongest Purple NIKKE deck overall now.

For me, the deck’s strongest character is the five-cost Scarlet: Black Shadow

She switches to active with relative ease: just have three Goddesses with unique names on the field. Having a one Action Point cost character that switches in this way to active is strong on its own. But what makes Scarlet really strong is that she’ll gain Damage 2 if you manage to get her to 6000 BP. You have so much BP boosting in this deck that achieving that won’t be challenging.

Red Hood is a strong attacker as well. She’s a good Impact attacker, but what really makes her strong is her ability to free-play the character you Raided her over after her attack.

Use this into your three-cost Red Hood and you’ll gain an additional attack that turn, as well as more BP boosting to set your Scarlet up for the Damage 2.

To be fair, the deck is a bit combo heavy, which comes with both pros and cons. Set up your pieces right and you’re in a good place to dominate offensively. Suffer too much removal early on, and it could be hard to come back. Either way, it’s an intriguing new strategy that should be solidly competitive into the English meta.

#3 Laplace

Laplace is the deck you want to play if you love an all-out offensive. The strongest new card added in the Vol. 2 is the four-cost Laplace.

Four-cost Laplace gives you a secondary Raid to bolster your ranks – one with Impact and solid draw support. While her When Played stipulates being Raided over a 4000 BP character, this whole deck strategy focuses on BP boosting to overwhelm your opponent with strong attacks, meaning you can achieve this on one of your low energy-curve characters.

Laplace also gets a fake two-cost, and it also helps achieve the increased BP condition for the new Raid.

Lastly, Elegg is a solid two-AP attacker, letting you push through more high BP attacks, while also giving you the option to grant Impact 1 or boost the BP of another Missillis character on your field.

As if the Raid Laplace weren’t strong enough already with the pushback and the Damage 2, now you can make her a Damage 2 Impact 1 character with relative ease.

#2 Modernia

Modernia gets noticeable improvements in the Precious Booster Pack, with the strongest add being the three-cost Raid target that also serves to lower your opponent’s BP, making it easier to hit your removal thresholds without sacrificing so many Memory Event cards from your hand.

Marian Union Arena Card

Despite this deck looking decent coming out of the original set, it never saw widespread, competitive play. With the addition of the Marian character and a fake two-cost that works very well into the deck strategy, that could change following the release of the Precious Booster.

#1 Cinderella

Cinderella is almost a net new deck coming out of the Precious Booster Pack. It’s arguably the strongest deck in the set, thanks to powerful free-play mechanics and an insane Cinderella character that can absolutely devastate your opponent – all while keeping your characters safe.

Cinderella is a powerful removal tool, and adds a protective layer to all of your frontline characters. However, you’ll notice two unique things about her: she has the Special Trigger, and she’s a 10-cost character.

While that means you won’t be using a Special Event for added removal, this works in your favor in a way given Grave’s ability.

Grave (010) Union Arena Card

Play Grave, pay 1 AP, then send an unneeded Cinderella to removal while activating her Special. Meanwhile, the 10 energy cost is handled via your zero-cost Abe, a character who will reduce that requirement by 6, making big bad Cinderella an easy-to-play 4-cost.

Abe Union Arena Card

Of course, you’ll need 10 cards in your removal area before activating Abe’s ability. But that’s trivial given the sheer number of low-energy curve cards at your disposal in this deck. Not to mention you have many powerful attackers and free-play characters at your disposal. That should keep your opponent busy enough while you build up to your strongest plays.

Grave (011) Union Arena Card

With the addition of Cinderella/Old Tales to the available deck pool, it feels more likely than ever that a NIKKE deck will be top tier in the English meta. Double those odds if the expected Shadow Army ban comes to pass.

Overall, the Precious Booster is a phenomenal add to the NIKKE UNION ARENA title. It takes a competitively mediocre set and makes it one of the stronger overall in the UNION ARENA English Version.
