UNION ARENA is Officially a Top 10 Best-Selling Trading Card Game

I’ve been waiting a long time to be able to say this, but UNION ARENA is finally and officially a best-selling trading card game.

The news comes from TCGPlayer’s quarterly report that lists UNION ARENA at ninth out of the top 10 best-selling trading card games on the platform for Q3 of 2026.

However, on this report, the Pokémon TCG is split into two categories: Pokémon TCG Japan and Pokémon TCG. If you combine those into one game (which I feel like you should), UNION ARENA looks even better at 8th overall.

Top 10 Product Lines (GMV)

These are the best-selling trading card games of Q3 2026 by the total dollar value of all sales (all card singles and sealed products combined).

2 Pokémon 2
3 One Piece Card Game 3
4 Yu-Gi-Oh! 4
5 ⬆️ Riftbound 6

10 ⬇️ Dragon Ball Super Fusion World 9

UNION ARENA’s growth driven by big set releases

The report highlights UNION ARENA’s phenomenal growth into the top 10, edging out Digimon for the spot (Digimon was 10th on Q2’s report), saying Chainsaw Man is the reason for it doing so well.

However, you don’t need a degree in data analysis to know Chainsaw Man was a big hit. Indeed, from my perspective, Chainsaw Man was the single biggest release of all time. It’s hyped IP, gorgeous chase cards, and strong decks were absolute catnip to players and collectors.

Indeed, I predicted that the Chainsaw Man set would go down as the biggest UNION ARENA set to date after seeing the hype for the game both online and at my own local events, where release events sold out regularly.

Yet it wasn’t the only big release of the quarter. Inuyasha was also popular in August, and the phenomenally relevant Re:ZERO turned many heads with gorgeous card designs and a collection of insanely fun deck mechanics.

Back when UNION ARENA launched in 2024, many said the game would last a year and be dropped. From the very start, however, I saw the game’s potential and dove hard into both competing in the game, as well as building extensive content around it.

With that in mind, it’s incredibly satisfying to see this game doing so well, and getting mainstream attention as it should. It truly is one of the hottest new TCGs right now. With a devoted player/fanbase and even bigger sets like BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Vol. 3 coming out later this year, 2026 could one day come to be known as the year UNION ARENA came into its own.
