Sylveon ex and Fuecoco Special Illustration Rare Cards Revealed for Pokémon 30th
When it comes to Pokémon cards, few generate more interest, pack rips, and money than the immensely popular Eeveelutions.
Today, Pokémon officially revealed the very first Special Illustration Rare (SIR) Eeveelution card featuring Sylveon ex.
Sylveon is the Eeveelution of love. In the games and anime, Sylveon will only evolve after forming a strong bond with its trainer. As was the case back in the fabulous Pokémon: XYZ season when Serena’s Eevee evolved into Sylveon mid-battle.
Sylveon also gets the distinction of being the latest Eeveelution released, seeing its debut back in 2013. It was released into Generation 6 (Pokémon X and Y), the generation that took us to Kalos for the first time. Notably, Kalos has a lot of ties with the Pokémon TCG’s current generation. Based on the Legends Z-A video game, many Kalos originals like Sylveon make their return in both the Mega Evolution series and the video game, making Sylveon the appropriate choice for an SIR in this 30th Anniversary set.
You can get more Eeveelutions in 30th Celebration
While we’ve had two Eeveelutions with card arts that look like SIRs revealed already, they aren’t technically SIRs but promos with beautiful full art instead.
These Umbreon and Espeon day and night promos can only be found in 30th Celebration’s Ultra Premium Collection boxes releasing in November.

Several Eeveelutions have also been confirmed for the set, including a sleepy Umbreon, an Espeon, and (of course) the main set Sylveon ex.
The inclusion of Eeveelutions in a modern Pokémon TCG set is enough on its own to drive incredible excitement and demand for a set. We saw this back in Prismatic Evolutions when the notorious Sunbreon made its debut.

While Umbreon has become synonymous with value in the Pokémon TCG world, Sylveon ex is a quieter chase card – but certainly no slouch.
Back in Evolving Skies, it’s one of the top Eeeveelution alt arts in terms of value. It’s also a card I once possessed (picked it up for a fraction of the value it’s currently worth), giving me a bit of a sentimental feeling just looking at it again.

I doubt that I’m the only one with nostalgia for this particular Eeveelution: you can bet it it will easily be one of the most expensive 30th Celebration cards when the set launches.
Fuecoco and Alolan Exeggutor Illustration Rares also revealed
Today’s secret rare spoilers aren’t just about Eeveelutions, however. I’ve already chronicled the release of an exciting Salamence ex SIR, as well as Illustration Rare (IR) cards that were revealed including Moltres, Morpeko, and Maushold.
Fuecoco and Alolan Exeggutor now join the ranks of the officially confirmed secret rare cards from the set. While the Alolan Exeggutor is only an IR, it’s got a zany unique twist to it, making it likely something of a sleeper chase for fans of this Pokémon.
Meanwhile, Fuecoco gets its own Special Illustration Rare. Featuring many memorable Pokémon in the background having a party on what looksl ike it could be the ground of the city that the previously revealed Salamence is flying over, you can bet that this card will be highly sought after for its rarity and meaning.
Stay tuned for many more 30th Celebration spoilers as we head into the home stretch for the set that’s releasing very soon on September 16, 2026. And make sure you check my entire 30th Celebration set list for more cards – it’s continually updated with each new reveal.
