Bandai is Releasing the Naruto Card Game in 2027
Speculation about what the next Bandai TCG might be has been circulating the internet since the company released a cryptic message on X along with a brand new teaser TCG account. Yet, even when the news broke that a new Bandai TCG would soon be announced, everyone had the same thought: it’s gonna be Naruto.
When will the Naruto Card Game be released?
An exact release date for the Naruto Card Game hasn’t been given yet. But we do know that it will be released sometime in 2027.
Original Naruto creator celebrates with a newly drawn color paper
The original and legendary creator of Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto, put out a special artwork showcasing the new TCG along with a heartfelt comment.
“NARUTO Card Game!
The world of ‘NARUTO’ expands even further.
I hope these cards reach the hands and hearts of many people.”
Get hands-on play at Gen Con
Bandai has a pretty big presence at Gen Con – attendees will be able to be among the first to try out the game. Those who attend will also be able to get their hands on an exclusive promo card – one that’s likely to be pretty valuable given how beloved Naruto is as a major anime franchise.
Some Naruto Card Game merch has also been spoiled, which you can see above.
How will the Naruto Card Game battle system likely work
Indeed, just looking at that promo card gives us a hint about what the battle system might be like. In the Naruto universe, something called Chakra is the way ninja access their most powerful skills. Indeed, Naruto himself is known for holding vasts amount of Chakra reserves. Given the first promo spoiled for the upcoming TCG is a “Chakra” card, you can bet that the battle system will leverage these Chakra cards as the set resources that enable you to play cards and activate abilities. My guess is this will work similar to how the Resource system in the Gundam TCG works.
More Naruto Card Game news coming July 29, 2026
Other than confirmation that there will in fact be a Naruto TCG, we know very little about it officially at this point. However, more information has been promised for July 29, 2026. Until then, make sure you follow the official Naruto Card Game account on X, and check out the sick teaser trailer for what very well could be the biggest TCG of 2027!
