Chaos Rising Card list
The Pokémon Company International broke from form with Chaos Rising’s card list. Typically the complete card list for a new set isn’t available until just the day before it releases. In the case of Chaos Rising, however, the complete set list was available almost an entire week early.
Below, look through every single Chaos Rising card – both in the main set and the secret rare set list.
Chaos Rising promo cards
While some of these promo cards aren’t technically part of the set (they’re black star promos from the Mega Evolution era in general), and some are, all are largely part of the collective, extended “card list” people want to know about when they set about to complete a master set.
The Crobat, Ampharos, and Delphox are part of the Build and Battle Box for the set and can only be obtained via buying one. The other three promos are store promos – earned as a gift after spending $15 or more on qualifying Pokémon TCG purchases from select stores in North America and around the world.
Chaos Rising pull rates
Now for the really juicy part: what are the pull rates like for Chaos Rising? Of course, before diving into trying to collect an entire set, you’ll want to know how likely it is that you’ll be getting something good.
Luckily, early Chaos Rising pull rates appear pretty good.
Below, we’ll break them down based on data from 160+ packs opened.
Double Rare – 23% per pack

Mega Pyroar ex - 015/086
Chaos Rising • Double Rare

If you’re hoping to pull a Double Rare Pokémon ex/Mega Pokémon ex card from a pack, well then your odds are pretty good: just a little over 20%. Double Rares are essentially the entry level of the pack opening experience, so it stands to reason they would have the highest pull rate of all the “hit” cards.
Illustration Rare (IR) – 11% per pack

Chespin - 087/086
Chaos Rising • Illustration Rare

While most Illustration Rare Pokémon cards aren’t worth a fortune, most still look great, and convey a much deeper story than their main set counterparts. Some do end up quite valuable. An 11% chance of hitting an IR directly out of the pack isn’t too bad – roughly the same as it was in Perfect Order.
Ultra Rare – 8%

Special Red Card - 113/086
Chaos Rising • Ultra Rare

All Pokémon cards now can get an Ultra Rare card. While they’re typically among the least valuable from the set, they’re still reasonably rare, sitting right around where Perfect Order’s pull rates were for this rarity.
Special Illustration Rare (SIR) – .6%

Mega Greninja ex - 116/086
Chaos Rising • Special Illustration Rare

Really, the only big discrepancy we’re seeing in the data for Chaos Rising compared to Perfect Order are your odds of pulling an SIR. And that matters quite a bit in a set that’s all about the top SIR, Mega Greninja ex. This is of course early pull rate data and 160 cards is still a relatively low number of packs for tracking very rare cards. We’ll need to see more total packs opened before we know the full picture. With the rest of the set lining up almost identically to Perfect Order, my guess is that the odds of pulling an SIR from any given pack will end up being very similar if not identical to Perfect Order.

I know I compared the pull rates between our two latest Pokémon TCG sets at length above. So for your benefit, you can see that same comparison side-by-side via the graph below.
Chaos Rising product catalogue
Of course, how are you going to get your hands on all these nice, beautiful cards without the products? Chaos Rising has all the usual products you would expect from a main Pokémon TCG set. While the ETB tends to be the most popular product overall, booster boxes offer a ton of value for those collectors looking to get the biggest bang for their buck.
Track your entire Chaos Rising collection via JWA Collects
Last but not least, as you make your way through collecting Chaos Rising cards, opening packs, and finding those top hits, you’ll want to track your progress and collection value as you go.
To help you out, I’ve built JWA Collects – the Pokémon TCG Collection Tracking app. It’s already complete with the Chaos Rising card list and card values. Check every card off as you go and see your entire collection grow.
Doing this is a great way to have even more fun collecting your favorite Pokémon cards, and seeing the overall value of your portfolio of cards is pretty incredible.
