Mega Sharpedo ex card breakdown

One of the attributes of Mega Sharpedo ex that should make him the most attractive to players is how simple it is. In the current Pokemon TCG meta with a plethora of attackers with abilities and endless combos, Sharpedo is just a simple Pokemon card with high HP that hits hard. Hungry Jaws is doing 270 damage when Sharpedo has damage counters on it, and that’s an easy thing to achieve given the fact that Toxtricity makes up the backbone of the deck’s energy acceleration engine.

Once you have accelerated energies using Toxtricity’s “Sinister Surge,” you’re then free to easily move damage around the board via Munkidori’s Adrena-Brain.

Pivot and boost with Pecharunt

The Pecharunt ex playbook is pretty well established, and it fits well into just about any dark type deck. Using Subjugating Chains, you can easily switch out your Active Pokemon with a benched Mega Sharpedo ex (letting you easily accelerate energy via Toxtricity). Of course, Mega Sharpedo ex will be poisoned, but that really only gives you more damage to work with using Adrena-Brain, and also unlocks additional firepower if you have Binding Mochi attached.

Mega Sharpedo ex deck supporter card choices

This first place Mega Sharpedo ex deck runs a surprising number of supporters in its deck list. Most of these are consistency cards, like Carmine that lets you ditch your hand and draw cards even on your first turn.

Lillie’s Determination, meanwhile, has become a gold standard draw supporter, letting you see a ton of cards, while of course Iono serves the dual purpose of draw support and opponent’s hand disruption, making her a must-have in most decks.

Wally’s Compassion is already turning out to be a relatively staple pick in Evolution decks as it can massively swing things in your favor if you are running a Mega Pokemon ex as your primary attacker, while Hilda is a more niche choice that does make sense in this particular build.

You are using Hilda to find one of your vital evolution Pokemon (either Toxtricity or Mega Sharpedo ex) and also your Legacy Energy.

While this deck may not run the Mega Gengar ex to help reduce the amount of prizes your opponent takes from knocking out your Pokemon, it does run the powerful Legacy Energy which fulfills the same thing when it matters most.

Peripheral Pokemon provide added support to Mega Sharpedo ex

In addition to this deck’s core strategy, you have two more peripheral support Pokemon. While Psyduck is simply here to protect your smaller bodies until they can evolve into bigger ones, Tatsugiri plays into this deck’s higher-than-normal maximum supporter count, giving you plenty of options to choose from when you use “Attract Customers.”

Mega Sharpedo ex may be a more straight forward Pokemon than most, this deck strategy is bold and unique, and gives you plenty of advanced options to excel at any level with one of the Pokemon TCGs hottest new decks!
