Pokémon 30th Celebration Preorder Prices Hint at a Massive Storm Ahead
As if there could be any more hype for the Pokémon TCG right now, fans everywhere are going absolutely crazy just for the news of the upcoming and massive Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration set getting a worldwide release (a first for the Pokémon TCG) on September 16, 2026. Celebrating 30 years of Pokémon, this set will feature brand new cards, returning and reprinted classics, as well as a stellar new card rarity called “Futuristic Rare.”
With all of this hype, however, something else unprecedented even in the Pokémon TCG that is known for inflated prices and hard-to-find products: we already know what a single booster pack of Pokémon 30th Celebration is going for presale. And if you have high hopes of bagging some Pokémon 30th Celebration products, you may want to take a deep breath before looking at the preorder price of a single Pokémon 30th Celebration pack.
A single 30th Celebration Booster Pack will run you over $100

I wish I could tell you that this was a hoax, but it’s not. Indeed, four sales for the upcoming Pokémon 30th Celebration Pack have already been confirmed via my partners at TCGPlayer for a whopping $150 each. At the moment, there aren’t many preorder listings except for one that I’m seeing for $185.
I have to reiterate: this is for just one single 30th Celebration Pack. Even with everything this set has to offer – a foil Pikachu in every pack, all foil cards, and the chance to bag reprints of some of Pokémon’s most iconic cards – the current market price seems a little excessive.
Even massively popular packs from sets capable of breaking the Pokémon Center preorder system, like the upcoming Pitch Black releasing July 17, 2026, go for just around or under $10 a piece. With the Pokémon 30th Celebration pack going for this much right out the gate, it seems this price tag is simply a harbinger of what’s to come.
Will the Pokémon 30th Celebration Pack preorder price go down?
The current price tag for preorders of a single pack of 30th Celebration is so staggering that I doubt it’s just some fluke. While yes it is technically possible for the 30th Celebration Pack to go down in price as we get closer to the release day, I sadly would not expect it to drop to anywhere near what you’d expect for a regular new Pokémon TCG release.
While large retailers and the Pokémon Center will still sell these products at MSRP (for now), you can also expect getting these at their suggested retail price to be incredibly challenging. Bookmark this page, however, as the market price for the Pokémon 30th Celebration Pack will continue to update as we head closer to the official release day. With many months to go, you could see this price drop substantially.
However, any hopes of it being available anywhere on the secondary card market for a bargain are likely misplaced based on this incredible early, confirmed market data.
