The Perfect Order Prerelease Promos Were Leaked and They Look Tough
In an exciting twist of fate, the Prerelease Promos for Pokemon TCG: Perfect Order – releasing on March 27, 2026 – were spoiled prematurely online, and they look pretty powerful!
The reveal of Prerelease Promos is always an exciting moment leading up to a Pokemon TCG set for fans. Not only do they give us a look at cards we have yet to see confirmed in the English set, they also let us know what the prerelease format is going to look like. Prerelease tournaments typically run two weeks prior to the official release of a mainline set, giving players and collectors a unique opportunity to get their hands on new Pokemon cards typically at local game stores before they release more broadly around the world.
Below, take a look at each of the Prerelease Promos leaked for Perfect Order as well as my thoughts on how they will fare in the Pokemon TCG Prerelease format.
Tyrantrum gains incredible HP
The Tyrantrum is the first promo to catch my eye. Not only is Tyrantrum one of my favorites from Kalos in general, I love how beefy this particular card gets. If you have just one Special Energy attached to it, it’s going to boost by 150 HP, making it an insane 330 HP Pokemon! That’s incredible for a single prize Pokemon, and if you manage to hit that threshold with him, you should have very good odds of winning the game.
Doublade is the most efficient Pokemon
While Tyrantrum gets points for being the toughest Pokemon in the room, Doublade gets credit for being arguably the most efficient. Its Weaponized Swords attack is far from a new mechanic – it’s one we’ve seen frequently in the game as well as in other prerelease formats before. Yet being able to swing for a huge amount of damage off of two colorless energies on a Stage 1 Pokemon is no joke, and could make this attacker the most reliable in the Perfect Order prerelease format.
Serperior hits the hardest
Serperior is similar to Tyrantrum but on the other end of the spectrum – instead of tanking the hardest, this Pokemon card hits the hardest. Solar Coiling can easily hit 250 damage, making it a worthy adversary for the bulky Tyrantrum who also has a weakness disadvantage against it.
However, equipping three grass energy to a stage 2 Pokemon is no easy feat, making this powerful attack definitely one that takes some considerable build-up.
Barbaracle delivers solid support
Lastly is this handy Barbaracle card. While not an impressive attacker or defender, Barbaracle has a powerful energy acceleration ability called Stone Arms, one that will let you attach as many basic fighting energy from your hand to one of your fighting Pokemon as you want during your turn. This could pair decently with Tyrantrum to power that Pokemon up in a pinch, but most likely there is some other strategy included in the Perfect Order Build and Battle Box that benefits from having multiple fighting energies attached.
Get these stamped Perfect Order Prerelease Promos in the Build and Battle Box
Pokemon TCG fans wanting to add these unique stamped cards to their collection are going to need to get their hands on a few Perfect Order Build and Battle Boxes as they are exclusive to those kits.
Basically, Build and Battle Boxes are intended for play at local leagues where you get everything you need to build and play a 40 card deck in a tournament setting.
