This Solo Leveling UNION ARENA Winner Card is Worth $450

Solo Leveling was a shock to the UNION ARENA English Version system when the set came out back in March 2026. However, its impact wasn’t destined to stop with its release. UNION ARENA sets have been generally more hyped since, and now it has another impressive feat to its name: the Sung Jinwoo Winner card that can only be obtained by winning a Solo Leveling Rare Battle is fetching an incredible $450 on TCGPlayer.

That’s considerably more than any previous UNION ARENA Rare Battle Winner card, with many popular Winners fetching less than $100 on the secondary card market.

Why is this Sung Jinwoo Winner Card so valuable?

The reason for the Sung Jinwoo Winner being so massively more valuable than typical UNION ARENA Rare Battle Winners goes well beyond simple popularity metrics. Indeed, Solo Leveling is undeniably a popular anime right now. But it’s due more to a fundamental shift in how Rare Battles were structured during the Solo Leveling season that caused such a massive surge in price for Winners.

Essentially, Bandai changed the Rare Battle format to be more exclusive. Instead of just about any card shop being able to host them, Rare Battles were limited to high-tier Bandai sellers, and capped at only eight players per Rare Battle. This created a frenzy of excitement where players rushed to register for Rare Battles rather than the typical more relaxed approach to the format that had become the norm.

But it’s not just the tournament size that was reduced: the prizing was cut in half as well. Instead of the top four players getting a UNION RARE promo, only first and second would get prizing.

As I predicted, making the UNION RARE virtually just as exclusive as the Winner also caused the second-place prize to skyrocket, which you can see via the live TCGPlayer market price below.

While in some ways it’s exciting for a longtime UNION ARENA player to see so much demand for tournament prizing, for many it has also been frustrating. Rare Battle tournaments are significantly harder to attend, making the goal of collecting a playset of a given Winner card (like I did with Sword Art Online Vol. 2) unfeasible for most. Exclusivity certainly drove more hype. But it left many feeling nostalgic for previous Rare Battle seasons that were more plentiful – although prizing was considerably less valuable.
