Two Nolstagic Legendary Pokémon Cards Confirmed for Pokémon 30th

We’re less than a month out from the official worldwide release of Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration on September 16, 2026, and the spoilers keep coming on a near daily basis.

Today officially confirms the inclusion of two nostalgic favorites for the set: the legendary mascots of the Gold and Silver era: Ho-Oh and Lugia.

Both artworks feature the Pokémon in positions of power, wings spread wide as they presumably descend on their opponent ready for the attack.

Better yet, Lugia’s attack is a clear reference to one of the most iconic Lugia cards of all time from the Neo Genesis era of the Pokémon TCG – the set that came out way back in 2000!

Unlike the Legendary Birds that were revealed just yesterday, we’ve not seen promo versions of these cards before, making this reveal even more unique and exciting.

While there are still many cards to be revealed, check out my Pokémon 30th Celebration set list so far, and check back often for the latest updates for this exciting upcoming set!
