Pokémon TCG: Mega – Evolution Delta Reign was officially revealed for release on November 6, 2026.

This set features Mega Rayquaza: the first Pokémon TCG set in a decade to do so. Meanwhile, it’s the first major “Rayquaza” set to be released since the legendary Evolving Skies came out back in 2021.

Take to the skies and explore everything Delta Reign has to offer, including its full product lineup, its first English spoilers, and some of its top chase cards.

In Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Delta Reign, Mega Rayquaza returns to the Pokémon TCG for the first time since the XY—Ancient Origins expansion. Alongside Mega Golurk ex, Mega Malamar ex and Mega Golisopod ex, the Sky High Pokémon Mega Rayquaza ex brings unparalleled strength to battle.

First Delta Reign cards revealed in English

While the Pokémon Company only officially announced the upcoming release of Delta Reign today, the set has been teased for a while. Back in June, Pokémon released a video announcing the Mega Rayquaza-themed Ruler of the Skies Pokémon TCG Pocket set. In the same video, they also teased Delta Reign.

Since then, things have been pretty quiet on the “official” English news for the set. However, the Japanese equivalent was released as Storm Emeralda on July 31, 2026 – giving us an idea as for what the complete Delta Reign card list will look like.

However, now we can share the first ever English cards for Delta Reign.

Mega Rayquaza ex

Not only is this the first time Mega Rayquaza ex has returned to the Pokémon TCG in over a decade since its last release in XY – Ancient Origins, Mega Rayquaza ex promises to have a major impact on the Pokémon TCG on many different levels.

First, already in Japan Mega Rayquaza’s Mega Hyper Rare and Special Illustration Rare cards are the top chase cards from the set. If the trends from this set follow past English set releases, we will likely see Mega Rayquaza ex’s Secret Rare version not only at the top of the heap for Delta Reign but also for all of Mega Evolution.

For players, however, Mega Rayquaza ex’s early tournament data from Japan where Storm Emeralda is already tournament legal shows a shifting competitive landscape. While the Pokémon TCG has long been dominated by the likes of Dragapult ex, Mega Rayquaza ex has proven itself as a top tier deck archetype, and will likely shake up the Pokémon TCG meta for the rest of the world when the set releases.

Mega Golisopod ex, Mega Golurk, and Mega Malamar ex revealed

Interestingly, all four Mega Pokémon releasing with Delta Reign were also officially revealed in English. Together, the complete list of Mega Pokémon releasing are:

  • Mega Rayquaza ex

  • Mega Golisopod ex

  • ‍ Mega Golurk ex

  • Mega Malamar ex.

Delta Reign brings “Legendary Stadium” feature to the Pokémon TCG

The other headlining news is a new mechanic entering the Pokémon TCG in the form of Legendary Stadiums. Unlike regular Stadiums that you play from your hand, Legendary Stadiums will require two complimentary copies to be in your hand for when you play them.

While this makes these Stadium cards harder to play, they also come with powerful effects. To get an idea of how strong these effects can be, you can see the first Legendary Stadium revealed in English below.

The first Legendary Stadium revealed in English is the Legendary Summit: a card both thematically and mechanically tied to the Mega Rayquaza ex card.

Legendary Summit isn’t the only card getting released in Delta Reign, however. We’re likely getting two more Legendary Stadiums, both also with powerful effects of their own.

Cut Storm Emeralda card added as Elite Trainer Box Promo

Oftentimes internationally released sets differ from their Japanese counterparts when they are released. Delta Reign is no exception. For this set, one card that was released as a secret rare in Storm Emeralda (and one of that set’s top chase cards) will be included in the Delta Reign ETB as this set’s promo.

Kyogre ETB Promo (Pokémon Center Exclusive)

Speaking of the Delta Reign ETB: its packaging and contents have also been revealed. The cover design looks impeccable, featuring the sky dragon in all its Mega majesty. Meanwhile, its contents look solid, coming with 9 Delta Reign booster packs, dice, Mega Rayquaza sleeves and more.
