UNION ARENA: BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Vol. 3 is about to release via a ‘Special’ release event starting on November 6, 2026.
While there are several unique things about this event, including alternate formats to enjoy, the biggest news comes in the form of the special promotional packs you can get just from attending events. Each of these packs will contain one of the new exclusive artworks for the previously released BLEACH: New Card Selection cards.
This news is hugely welcome by the UNION ARENA community at large, as BLEACH New Card Selection Binders were originally released via a limited print run, making those products (and their cards) hard to come by, and extremely costly.

A single New Card Selection binder will run you over $250 at the time of writing on the secondary market. That means completing a playset of every single card of the original print run will run you $1000 or more. And although you can pick up singles as well, they aren’t much better, with many cards coming at a steep markup.

That might be all well and good if these binders were primarily collectors’ items with base rarity cards for key decks in Vol. 3 available for dirt cheap on the secondary market. However, these cards have never been reprinted, making them both necessary and expensive: a sort of unnecessary gate to new players wanting to enjoy BLEACH UNION ARENA decks to the fullest.
BLEACH Release Event promos could still end up pricey
While it’s unlikely that prices for the newly minted BLEACH Vol. 3 Premium Release Event packs will go for the same kind of dollar value as the original New Card Selection cards, they still will likely be hard to come by and expensive at least at first.
BLEACH Vol. 3 Release Events in themselves are challenging to attend, with many events already waitlisting significant numbers of players.
UNION ARENA as a whole has grown significantly in 2026, as proven by the game’s recent ascendency to TCGplayer’s top 10 games for Q3.
So my advice for those looking to bag these desirable cards remains the same as it has been since UNION ARENA took off earlier this year: attend as many release events as you can. Apart from being a solid chance to land these promos, release events are a fun social event, offer plenty of competition, early access to new cards, and the chance to win the Rukia Release Event Winner promo.
