If you’re looking for a powerhouse deck to play from the latest UNION ARENA: NIKKE Precious Booster Pack set, you might want to try Cinderella. So far, the Yellow Cinderella deck is my favorite deck from the set. Below, let’s get into why that is.
The Cinderella that is a Special

First, we’ll start by looking at the deck’s strongest card, the Cinderella character card with the Special Trigger. While at one point in the game, it was unheard of to have a character with the Special Trigger, it’s becoming more common. In the Yellow Cinderella deck, it’s more than just a way to balance the deck’s power: it’s a distinct advantage. Pair this with the four-cost Grave for example, and you have a character that at once fulfills your high-end power plays as well as removal.

Yet your Raid Cinderella is also strong. While you have several Raidless characters that you will want to use in this deck, using the Cinderella you can easily switch those characters to active the turn they are played. This works best into your Grave, or the Mermaid. Play a Grave, pop an opposing character via sending your Cinderella from hand into removal, and then switch Grave to active via this solid Cinderella effect.
To make playing her even more enticing, you’ll be able to add further fuel to your removal area when she is sidelined. This makes her a great early game aggressive character to prepare the way for your big Cindy showdown.

Lastly, you’ll want to leverage the power of your Raid Graves to accelerate your lead over your opponent. While she’s a little tricky to learn how to play, in essence, she’s all about fueling your Removal area while free-playing a character. This works well for your overarching strategy, as you’ll need to hit 10 cards in removal before activating your Cinderella’s strongest abilities.

Once you hit 10 cards in removals, you can activate the ability of Abe to play your Cinderella at just four-energy cost. Do that, and you’ll gain a strategic advantage over your opponent, clearing their board while protecting your own.
When the first NIKKE set came out, the decks were pretty underpowered compared to the meta at the time – one that had already seen Kenshin unleashed on North America. Now, however, for a brief moment in time – at least until BLEACH Vol. 3 comes out in November – NIKKE has the chance to do really, really well into the current meta, perhaps even a shot at winning a regional!
