UNION ARENA Fall Rare Battle Guide: Fullmetal Alchemist, Attack on Titan, Code Geass
The next round of UNION ARENA Rare Battles have been announced and they’re beginning in September, 2025! Based around three recent sets – Fullmetal Alchemist, Attack on Titan, and Code Geass Vol. 2 – these Rare Battles are sure to be a thrilling conclusion to many hours of practicing and deck building. Below, take a look at the prizes you can win from these Rare Battles as well as some tips for what decks are likely to be the most prominent once the tournaments begin.
Although the Winner Cards will contain exclusive artwork as usual, one unique attribute is that each of the three Winner Promos will also bear the anniversary logo celebrating one year of UNION ARENA’s English Version!
Fullmetal Alchemist Rare Battle
The UNION RARE Winner Card for the Fullmetal Alchemist Rare Battles are an alternate artwork version of the Edward Elric Raid Yellow Energy character you can get in the booster pack.
Top four players will also get a promo but without the “Winner” stamp. They’ll also be getting these exclusive AP sleeves.
Fullmetal Alchemist Rare Battle tips
Those hoping to win the Rare Battle are going to need to study each of the main Fullmetal Alchemist decks to know what they are most likely to face. The big deck to watch is the Roy Mustang Blue Fullmetal Alchemist deck. This deck dominated the first UNION ARENA Regional, and is likely to be the top deck by playshare and wins in the FMA Rare Battle Format.
Attack on Titan Rare Battle
Attack on Titan is such a massive anime I’m sure the AOT Rare Battles will be popular. However, despite the fact that we’re getting this Red Erin Jaeger card, it’s really the Levi deck that I would look out for in this format. Levi’s ability to attack three times in a single turn is going to be a major hurtle for many decks to deal with.
Manage to make the top four, however, and not only will you get an Eren Jaeger Promo with the stamp, you’ll also be getting these sleeves.
Code Geass Vol. 2 Rare Battle
My single favorite UNION RARE card so far has to be this C.C. eating the Pizza. I absolutely can’t wait to build my own Pizza deck running this Winner in it.
Additionally, given the already high power-levels of Code Geass, Vol. 2 should turn the Rare Battlefield into an absolute bloodbath that I’m totally here for.
Code Geass Vol. 2 Rare Battle Tips
Code Geass is one of those relatively rare sets with a Rare Battle with tons of variety in terms of deck choice. That being said, the most popular choices are going to be Green Lancelot, Purple Black Knights, and Blue. Still, I think the Pizza deck is a strong dark horse pick into this format. It’s a lot stronger with the cards we get in Vol. 2 and as we saw from the recent regional, Red can absolutely get under some of the bigger decks out there if they aren’t expecting it.
