UNION ARENA: Most Expensive Code Geass Vol. 2 Cards
Ready for Code Geass Vol. 2 and its top chase cards? Below, we’ll be looking at the top five most expensive cards in the set, ranked from most expensive to most affordable. For this ranking, we’ll be looking at a mix of listing data, real sales data, and my own experience from selling several chase cards I pulled in the early days of the set’s shelf life.
#1 Lelouch SR*** Serialized
Around $2000
This Lelouch Lamperouge SR*** Serialized card is probably my favorite of the mega chase cards in UNION ARENA to date. With a fabulous artwork that perfectly depicts one of the most badass characters in anime, any serialized version of this card is worth big money. Although these cards are so rare that there’s no way to get a single market value for them, it should be worth somewhere around the $2000 mark – not bad for a piece of cardboard!
#2 Lelouch SR***
Market price: $400
Essentially the same card but without the serial number, the SR*** is still a pretty solid pull, worth around $400 right now on the secondary card market.
#3 C.C. SR**
Market price: $109.97
The C.C. Pizza SR** is pretty hot on the secondary card market right now – and really available at a solid bargain given how bankable this character is and how iconic her Pizza eating antics are. I’m tempted to bling out my Vol. 2 Pizza deck with this masterpiece, but also don’t want to sleeve up an SR** and expose it to shuffling. Oh well, I’ll have to settle for the Code Geas Rare Battle Winner instead!
#4 Suzaku SR**
Market price: $90
Despite being an undeniably cool-looking card, the main thing holding back this SR** Suzaku is the fact that players aren’t really gravitating towards the new Knights of the Round strategy. The price tag I’m giving this card of $100 may seem a little low compared to the listings you’ll find on TCGPlayer. However, this is actually pretty generous given the fact my own Suzaku SR** I sold soon after the set release only fetched $90 in bidding on eBay.
#5 C.C. Foil Action Point
Market price: $47
Foil Action Points are very rare – typically one per case. A fact which lends them significant value. Of course, featuring one of the most popular anime characters of all time doesn’t hurt, and as a fan of the Pizza strategy I can particularly appreciate this partially eaten piece of cardboard.
