UNION ARENA: Re:ZERO Vol. 2 First Spoilers Revealed
UNION ARENA Re:ZERO may have only just released in the English version, but Japan is already on schedule to get its Vol. 2 late October. As such, the first spoilers are making their way out of the dark. Of course, as a UNION ARENA player invested in Re:ZERO you’ll want to know what to expect when the second set comes out. Here are two Emilia cards and one Rem revealed so far.
Rare Battle Winner – Emilia
Emilia (エミリア)
Card Type: Character
Trait: Royal Election Candidate (王選候補者)
Cost / Action: 3 Cost / 1 Action
BP: 3000
Generated Energy: 1 Yellow
Effects:
- [Step] (ステップ): (During your Move Phase, you may move this from the Front L to the Energy L).
- [On Play] (登場時): During this turn, the next Event card with a required energy of 1 or less you use from your hand has its required AP reduced by 1. For every 2 Event cards in your Sideline (場外), the required energy limit of the Event card that has its required AP reduced by this effect gets +1. This effect of <Emilia> can only be activated once per turn.
Trigger:
- [Draw] (ドロー): Draw 1 card.
Over on the English version side of things, we’ve yet to see what our Rare Battle Winner will look like. Yet Japan already has the official reveal of the Vol. 2 Re:ZERO UNION RARE, and it’s this rather adorable card featuring – you guessed it – Emilia.
This card’s ability offers tremendous utility to the Yellow Emilia deck – the one that I’m playing the most right now, and also the one that you can build from the Re:ZERO Starter Deck.
New Rem SR* card revealed
Rem (レム)
Card Type: Character
Cost / Action: 3 Cost / 1 Action
BP: 3000
Generated Energy: 2 Yellow
Effects:
- [On Play] (登場時): If all characters on your field are <Rem>, you may return 1 of your characters with a required energy of 3 or less to your hand. If you do, during this turn, the next <Rem> without [Raid] (レイド) you use from your hand has its required AP reduced by 1. This effect of <Rem> can only be activated once per turn.
Trigger:
- [Get] (ゲット): Add this card to your hand.
The Rem/Ram deck is arguably the strongest in Re:ZERO right now, making this new addition to the strategy particularly exciting to players. Rem fans will like it more for the unique alternate art.
Judging by the card’s text, however, it looks like a pure Rem deck could be in the works for Vol. 2!
Re:ZERO gets a new energy color in Vol. 2
Emilia (エミリア)

Cost / Action: 4 Cost / 1 Action
BP: 4000
Generated Energy: 1 Green
Effects:
- [Raid] (レイド): <Emilia> (You may make this active and move it to the Front L).
- Passive: At the end of this character's attack, you may Rest 1 of your Active characters on your Front L with an original BP of 2500. If you do, make this character Active.
- [On Play] (登場時): During this turn, this character gains Double Attack (2回アタック) and "This character cannot be chosen by your opponent's effects."
Trigger:
- [Raid] (レイド): Add this card to your hand, or if you meet the energy requirements, Raid it.
Like most Vol. 2 sets, Re:ZERO will be getting a new energy color upon released. This will be the Green Energy color, and already an SR** Signature card featuring another Emilia has been revealed.
It’s a little early to know how this card will work within the context of its deck, but the artwork sure looks fetching.
