Pokémon TCG Pocket’s Next Release is a Trip Down Memory Lane
Pokémon TCG Pocket is taking collectors down memory lane with its next release – the Deluxe Pack: Mega expansion. The release will be available on September 29, 2026, and will feature four-card packs with a guaranteed Pokémon ex in each pack, plus cards from previous expansions ranging from Mega Rising all the way to Ruler of the Skies.
While a bunch of exciting cards were revealed, in the trailer (which you can see below), my favorite by far are the Mega Pokémon ex cards, and a gorgeous Eevee that will likely be the envy of many.
Eevee is by far my favorite Deluxe Pack Mega chase card
Mega Pokémon ex certainly fit with the present Pokémon TCG era both for the physical and digital Pokémon TCG. However, it’s this Eevee that steals the show for me. Pressed up against the window, it’s quietly mesmerized by the jewelry it sees through the window. It reminds me instantly of Serena’s Eevee from Kalos that would eventually evolve into a Sylveon.
While it’s hard to get an Eevee card wrong, this is one of the more adorable ones we’ve seen lately.
Mega Charizard X ex
Eevee may take the cake for cutest Pokémon card revealed from the set so far, but the Mega Pokémon ex you can get certainly have a bold look. Crowd favorites like Mega Charizard X and Mega Lucario are featured for the upcoming set, as well as the less popular but still pretty cool Mega Altaria.
They aren’t the only Mega Pokémon featured in this special set, however. Mega Venusaur was also teased, along with Mega Gardevoir ex.

As if all of that weren’t enough, players can show off their collections with new and exciting backdrops featuring Mega Charizard X and Y. These backdrops will be made available starting September 30, 2026.
Pokémon TCG Pocket announces updates coming at the end of October
In addition to some of the teasers for the new special Pocket set, Pokémon has announced several new updates that are expected to roll out at the end of October. These include:
A new community decks feature.
Deck rentals from the latest booster packs.
Step up battles reworked into solo-battle system with a ladder experience that gets more challenging as you progress.

They weren’t lying when they said a new Pokémon TCG Pocket series would begin in October! Deluxe Pack: Mega, however, feels like the right way to say goodbye to the current era. What’s in store next?
