Perfect Order Pull Rates Revealed

Thanks once again to my friends over at TCGPlayer, we now have a more accurate look at the pull rates from the latest Pokemon TCG set: Perfect Order.

Double Rare cards – 1 in five packs

Starting things off we have your typical Double Rare Pokemon ex – both Mega or regular. These are your easiest “hits” to land. At one in five packs, odds are very solid you’ll get one of these, while collecting one of each will still run you a considerable number of packs.

Ultra Rare – 1 in 12 packs

Ultra Rare cards are considerably harder to pull. While that makes chasing any specific Ultra Rare secret rare card a little tough, having a 1 in 12 packs feels pretty decent. Especially when you consider how good cards like the Meowth ex Ultra Rare look.

Illustration Rare – 1 in 9 packs

As preliminary pull rates showed, your odds of bagging any Illustration Rare Pokemon card from this set is actually better than getting an Ultra Rare. That’s good news for collectors who will rejoice at how good these IRs look, especially one of the top chase cards from the set – this Clefairy.

Special Illustration Rare – 1 in 81 packs

Rosa's Encouragement

Special Illustration Rare cards are a huge jump in scarcity. While Ultra Rare cards are relatively rare at just 1 in 12 packs, SIRs are very hard to pull. 1 in 81 packs puts them at about a 1% chance of being pulled from any given pack. It’s not impossible, but also highly unlikely.

Yet those odds are nothing to the insane chase that is the most expensive card from this set.

Mega Hyper Rare – 1 in 1260

Mega Zygarde ex

Mega Hyper Rare cards remain insanely hard to pull. Honestly, with that disparity in rarity between the Mega Hyper Rare and the SIR, I’m a little surprised the Mega Zygarde ex Mega Hyper Rare isn’t even more valuable than it currently is on the secondary card market.

While SIRs are not impossible to pull but very rare, the odds of pulling a Mega Hyper Rare (around .06) are negligible – approaching absurd.

Ultimately, the pull rates for Perfect Order are actually pretty good, and about on par with what we’ve come to expect from Mega Evolution era packs. Perfect Order may not have the flashiest and most expensive chase cards of them all, but with these pull rates this set could still be a very fun pack opening experience for more casual collectors.
