Chaos Rising English Spoilers and Card List
The Pokémon Company has officially confirmed the fourth Mega Evolution Pokémon TCG set, Chaos Rising, will be releasing on May 22, 2026. Chaos Rising as a set has already been getting a significant amount of hype online as early card spoils leaked a while ago. Now, we can finally share the first officially revealed Pokémon TCG: Chaos Rising Pokémon cards in English, including Mega Greninja ex, Mega Pyroar ex, Mega Floette ex, and Mega Dragalge ex. As always, I’ll be updating this guide with new cards that get leaked as we get closer to the release date. So make sure to come back often and see the latest officially revealed English Chaos Rising Pokémon cards!

Cause mischief and mayhem with these powerful Mega Pokémon ex
Once again, Chaos Rising will put a heavy emphasis on Mega Pokémon ex – just like every Mega Evolution era set before it. This time around, the spotlight will primarily be on Mega Greninja ex.
Mega Greninja ex
Indeed, Mega Greninja ex frontlines the upcoming Pokémon set in a big way: two of the top projected Chaos Rising chase cards are secret rare variants of this card. One is going to be a gorgeous Special Illustration Rare and the other the coveted Mega Hyper Rare. Despite the official Pokémon Company press release announcing this set stating that “Mega Greninja ex is just one of the new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex that can be found in this upcoming expansion,” this famous ninja Pokémon is clearly star of the show – so much so that you could see what I’m calling the Phantasmal Flames effect occur here. With so much emphasis placed on such a massively popular Pokémon’s Mega Evolution, you could see relatively low values for the other Mega Evolution SIRs in the set.
Indeed, Ash’s Mega Greninja played a huge role in one of Pokémon’s most iconic seasons, and continues to be massively relevant today as one of the franchise’s more memorable characters. As packs are cracked in search of Greninja’s rarest cards, the others might simply be sold to make up costs as collectors everywhere seek the biggest prize of them all.
Lastly, Mega Greninja ex should be a powerful card for players, with the Mortal Shuriken ability being the big standout – an ability that will grant any player running this powerhouse a distinct advantage by being able to spread damage around the board in an unprecedented manner.
Clearly, there’s a lot to be excited about in Chaos Rising, but to say it’s about more than just Mega Greninja is really only half the truth.
Mega Pyroar ex
Pyroar is yet another Kalos original Pokémon whose Mega Form debuted in Pokémon Legends Z-A. Although not the showstopper Mega Greninja is, Mega Pyroar ex is still a pretty cool-looking lion-like Pokémon with a fiery mane and a solid Big Bang attack that does nearly 290 damage, making it one of the heavier hitters among Mega Pokémon ex.
Mega Floette ex
I love this Mega Floette ex card because of its cute look combined with the apocalyptic nature of its weapon. The SIR already spoiled in Chaos Rising’s sister set in Japan looks even crazier, with that ancient and powerful flower-looking weapon hanging ominously over its head. While you’ll get more of that vibe from the set’s art gallery section below featuring Mega Floette, even its Double Rare card (pictured above) is pretty cool – complete with a powerful Eternity Bloom that totally fits the lore, letting you deal crazy damage for just a basic Mega Pokémon ex while also rapidly filling your board with Basic Psychic energy.
Mega Dragalge ex
This Mega Dragalge ex card is covered in a crazy mixture of color and light, a combination that adds intrigue to this unusual-looking creature. Its Pernicious Poison attack is relatively unusual for a dragon type as it looks to cause maximum damage through an enhanced Special Condition state that deals a whopping 16 damage instead of just 1 each turn. Given its high HP and lack of weakness, you could see Mega Dragalge ex popping off in poison/control decks.
Mega Gallade ex
Mega Gallade could be a fun tech into Gardevoir ex decks, giving you access to a powerful attacker that could help in specific matchups (especially against your usual type weakness).
Shake things up with solid Pokémon ex attackers
The current era of Pokemon TCG is largely about Mega Pokemon ex. But regular Pokemon ex still get plenty of solid support. Here are a few of the ones joining the game in Chaos Rising.
Beedrill ex
Rumbling Bees is a sick attack, one that stacks damage for each Beedrill in play. That’s pretty insane for just one grass energy, letting you hit some pretty powerful damage numbers capable of knocking out even a Mega Pokemon ex.
Gourgeist ex
Gourgeist feels more gimmicky than competitive. Yet its Horrifying Rondo is tempting enough to try and make work, especially if you’re running a Munkidori to spread damage inflicted on yourself around.
Chaos Rising single prize Pokémon
Mega Pokémon ex are always stealing the show in the Pokémon TCG’s current era, but the regular single prize Pokémon – those without a rule box – deserve a little love, too. So far, we’ve been granted an early look at just one of these main set cards: Espurr.
Ho-Oh
Mareep
Flaaffy
Ampharos
Espurr
Espurr’s Buddy Attack is no joke, either. Assuming you meet the requirements (playing Emma from your hand during your turn), Buddy Attack does a solid 70 damage, making it a nice poke attack to take out other small Pokémon early in the game.
Phantump
Pumpkaboo
Chaos Rising Trainer cards
Ange Floette
I absolutely love this Ange Floette Stadium card – one that unlocks a huge buff to your Mega Floette ex in play. You don’t often see Stadiums interacting with specific Pokemon, making it a fun and refreshing new mechanic whenever it happens.
Prism Tower
Prism Tower is actually a pretty interesting card, one that could see play. While the main drawback of its draw effect is enabling it for your opponent, the Ange Floette loophole means you can gain card advantage AND discard it in the same turn. Draw cards and then buff your Mega Floette ex. It’s a pretty compelling combo.
Chaos Rising Secret Rare Cards
At last we’ve been granted a sneak peek at some of the secret rare cards coming out in English with Chaos Rising.
Froakie, Frogadier & Mega Greninja ex Illustration Rare/Special Illustration Rare
We’ve seen both the Froakie Illustration Rare and the Frogadier Illustration Rare cards from the upcoming set. These are important as they combine into a connected artwork along with the Mega Greninja ex SIR (now officially revealed in English). Pokémon TCG fans and collectors LOVE connected artworks across cards, making this one highly desirable evolution line!
Ampharos – Illustration Rare
We already had one form of Ampharos spoiled for the set when the promo card was revealed for the Build and Battle Box. However, this artwork is noticeably more serene than its promo counterpart, making it a strong contender if not for top 10 cards, easily within the top 20 most valuable alt art/secret rares from Chaos Rising. What makes me say that? Apart from a decently trending price for the Japanese version of the card, this Johto-original Pokémon is pictured alongside the exact kind of pastoral setting (complemented by eye-popping colors) that tends to do relatively well on the secondary card market.
It’s not a huge chase, and it’s probably not the it IR cards from the set. But it’s a thumpin’ good pull for anyone – especially those chasing a master set.
Crobat – Illustration Rare
Lastly we have this somewhat unusual Crobat Illustration Rare. I put this card last simply because it’s likely to be the least sought after of all the cards getting their official English reveal this weekend. Going off market prices from the Japanese sets, Crobat isn’t a big money maker. And while that could change when it comes stateside, I don’t think anyone’s exactly lining up for Crobat anywhere. And as we all know, Pokémon popularity goes a long way in determining value.
That being said, this artwork is undeniably cool – perfectly employing the setting to tell a story as much as the main visual of the Pokémon itself. I particularly enjoy the grainy/blurry distortion that makes the card look and feel like the visual version of a lo-fi music binge.
Mega Dragalge ex – Special Illustration Rare
The first officially revealed Special Illustration Rare card from Chaos Rising is Mega Dragalge ex!
While this card won’t be the definitive chase card of Chaos Rising, you still have to admire what it’s doing. Its abstract artwork would look right at home among some of the best card arts in recent years. Indeed, it even gives some of the epic pulls from Prismatic Evolution a run for their money.
In the Japanese sister set Ninja Spinner, Dragalge SIR makes top five most expensive cards. While it won’t be worth a fortune when it gets released in English, it’s still easily one of the top chase cards from the set.

Chaos Rising product lineup
Of course, the best way to get your hands on not just these cards but all of the other yet-to-be-revealed in English secret rare cards is by getting your hands on Chaos Rising products. Given this is another main set, the usual product lineup will be available, including booster boxes, Elite Trainer Boxes, and the like.
Chaos Rising Elite Trainer Box features Mega Greninja ex
I’ll highlight the Chaos Rising ETB first as it just looks so cool – clearly leaning heavily into Mega Greninja’s popularity with the character hanging upside down from his signature water shuriken. I also like the water effects splashing around the set’s logo – a definitive nod to Greninja’s largeness within the set. In addition to the packaging, the contents for the ETB have also been revealed.

Chaos Rising artworks
Lastly, several key visuals have been released for the set, each one featuring a different Mega Pokémon. These visuals are a great way to visually immerse yourself in the characters and themes of the next big Pokémon set. They also make for great wallpapers.
Although a relatively small set, Chaos Rising hits hard. Focused around the massively bankable Mega Greninja ex and complete with resplendent artworks and new mechanics that will drive both collectors and players wild, we should see just as much frenzy for chasing this set as we have for virtually every other set in the current Mega Evolution era of the Pokémon TCG.
