Want a highly aggressive, attack-oriented UNION ARENA NIKKE deck? Give the Green Laplace Missilis deck a try.
This deck specializes in filling the board with strong 4000 BP attackers, bolstered by a powerful Laplace Raid character that can swing with Damage 2 while also clearing your opponent’s board of defenders.
Below, we’ll be looking at my custom Laplace Green NIKKE deck and dive into what makes it so solid.
NIKKE Green deck list
Breaking down Laplace Raid
Green Missilis is a deck that focuses on having a full board of 4000 BP attackers. And while this deck runs a somewhat standard 14 characters with that number natively, you have a lot of abilities and effects that bolster other characters to 4000 BP, as well. Of course, having 4000 BP characters on the field is a benefit on its own – letting you swing through more attacks that are less likely to be blocked. However, you also get additional effects in Green NIKKE, such as Laplace’s Damage 2 which comes online when you have two or more 4000 BP Missilis affinity characters on your front line.
In a deck that focuses on bolstering BP and getting a lot of powerful attacks through in a turn, Laplace’s “When Played” effect is also quite strong. It pushes a character back to the energy line on your opponent’s front line. Use this on a chump blocker to force your opponent to sacrifice stronger characters to stop the onslaught, or strategically remove a 5000 BP character from the field to leave your opponent more vulnerable to attacks.
On her own, Raid Laplace isn’t the strongest character we’ve seen in UNION ARENA. But in the context of her deck, she’s a powerhouse that really makes the strategy as a whole come together.
Boost characters with Green Color Trigger Liter
Liter does a ton to help your strategy of both filling up your board with characters while also getting more characters to 4000 BP. First, her “When Played” lets you search the top three cards of your deck for a Missilis character and add it to your hand. Second, her Activate:Main lets you boost another character on the field by 1000 BP. This will come in handy when getting one more 4000 BP body to swing through your opponent with while also bolstering the effects of your other characters.
Boost these characters to 4000 BP
First up is the one-cost Laplace. While having the Step keyword is nice and also the fact that she’s a Raid target for your five-cost character of the same name, Laplace can also double as 4000 BP attacker on her own. Simply have another 4000 BP character on your front line and she boosts to 3000 BP. Use Liter to boost her by another 1000 BP and you have yet another 4000 BP Missilis characters
The next two characters also serve a dual purpose in this deck, providing the backbone of your energy line while also being easy to promote and use as additional 4000 BP attackers.
Julia is the first card to talk about in this vein. She’s essential to this deck with the two-energy gen but also has a solid effect that lets you draw a card when she is not blocked. Of course, being 3000 BP means you’ll likely want to boost her with Liter to hit that more effective 4000 BP.
The other is the even stronger Guilty character.
Guilty easily boosts to a 4000 BP attacker on her own, making her indispensable in this deck strategy. She also has the active trigger which is always a plus.
Green Missilis secondary attackers
Finally, let’s talk about the characters who have 4000 BP natively without the need to boost and outside of your primary Laplace attacker. For this deck, you have three: Alice, Drake, and Maxwell.
Alice is strong because she also has a decent card search ability. While you will likely often play her raidless as you only have four raid targets that make sense in this deck, she’s still handy for that one or two times you do manage to hit her raid and play a character for free.
Drake is arguably your most handy attacker outside of the Laplace, however. She doesn’t have a card search/free play effect like the Alice does, but she does have a solid When Attacking effect that lets you filter through the top three cards of your deck, and choose which ones you want to keep and which to put back at the bottom of your deck. You just need two or more Missilis characters with 4000 or more BP to use this effect, and she comes complete with the Active trigger making her arguably this deck’s strongest Raidless attacker.
And finally you have the two-AP Maxwell who comes in active, enabling yet another 4000 BP attacker to swing at your opponent with.
Maxwell has the added advantage of being able to boost another character by 3000 BP, ensuring you have another 4000 BP character on your front line.
As far as UNION ARENA decks go, NIKKE Green Missilis/Laplace is very straightforward. The main goal is to simply swing through your opponent’s defenses with as many 4000 BP attackers as possible, using the majority of your characters as blunt instruments to utterly damage your foe. It’s not the strongest NIKKE deck out there, but we’ve seen similar decks work before, like the early days of Renji Rush that simply looked to play 4000 BP bodies to the front line.
While the UNION ARENA meta has become a bit more complex than that, Laplace adds a level of strategy thanks to her ability to push characters back to the energy line, and the right player can use this to gain a huge leg-up on the competition.
