Ursula's Return Products

What is Ursula’s Return all about?

Ursala has been teased as one of the main antagonists of the Lorcana universe for some time now. Ursula’s Return basically makes that official. For more info on the lore, you can take a look at the trailer video below, shared via the official Lorcana website.

Beyond the lore being explored here in this video, making an entire set focused on a villain is an interesting concept for Disney Lorcana. Up until now, sets have been focused primarily on specific aspects of the game or new mechanics. Focusing entirely on a villain opens up interesting potential possibilities for future sets to explore.

Ursula’s Return includes an unprecedented quest and product

One of the reasons for making this set focus so closely on Ursula is that a big part of the release is a story driven product that also introduces a new format to the game. One of the advantages to Lorcana having such a broad appeal beyond just competitive play (although it certainly has a healthy competitive scene) is that they can take advantage of novel formats for players to try out.

Illumineer's Quest – Deep Trouble

There’s not a ton of info on this particular new product and format yet, but we’ll certainly update this article once there is!

See the image below for more of what’s included in this upcoming product

Illumineer's Quest

Just when you thought Lorcana might be done innovating, they introduce something like this into the world, and it clearly shows that the creative idea mill bringing us one of the most exciting trading card games in the world is far from being finished.

Market price: $148.96

How many cards will be in the set?

There will be 204 cards in the main set of Ursula’s Return. However, we’ve already been given a glimpse at alternate art forms of cards, bringing the total number to well beyond that 204 number for sure.

What new Disney properties will be included in Ursula’s Return?

The biggest new Disney Property to be included in Ursula’s Return (in case you missed it in the trailer) is Encanto. In fact, a range of new cards from that particularly movie have already been officially revealed.

In fact, one of the starter decks revealed focuses on Encanto characters (we’ll get more into that in a moment).

Exciting new mechanics introduced in Lorcana’s fourth set!

Additionally, Disney Lorcana has revealed two exciting new mechanics that will alter the way we play Lorcana. First is an alternate Shift mechanic. This mechanic enables you to Shift powerful Floodborn characters by discarding specific cards from your hand. To learn more about this exciting development, read our article.

Apart from Shifting via a different method, players are also very excited about the new Sing Together mechanic revealed via series of powerful new song cards. This mechanic allows you to use multiple characters to sing high cost song cards.

Of course, more information will be coming out soon in regards to Ursula’s Return so stay tuned as we’ll be updating this guide often!

Ursula’s Return products and preorders

In addition to the Illumineer’s Quest, we have a first look at the new products we’re going to see in Ursula’s Return. These products are already available for preorder via our partners at TCGplayer.

Ursula’s Return Booster Box and Packs

Here’s a first look at the booster box from Ursula’s Return! Right now, the booster box is at a very reasonable price, especially when compared with past preorder prices. It’s also hovering right around MSRP right now which makes ordering online from TCGplayer well worth it for the added convenience and assurance you’ll get your product on time!

  • Each Disney Lorcana: Ursula's booster box contains 24 booster packs with each booster pack containing 12 cards.

Ursula’s Return Starter Decks

Ravensburger has already revealed what the starter decks are going to be for the new set, and the Ink combinations for those two. It looks like we are going back to two Ink combinations that came out in The First Chapter: Amber/Amethyst and Sapphire/Steel. You can see what the starter deck boxes look like in the images below.

  • Market price: $24

Illumineer’s Trove – Ursula’s Return

Illumineer’s Troves are always a great value and they got a significant upgrade in Into the Inklands. Assuming they are just as good as they were in that set, Lorcana’s Fourth Set’s Troves should be just as solid of a product to buy.

  • Ursula’s Return Illumineer’s Troves include:

  • 8 booster packs

  • A lore counter

  • Six damage dice

  • Seven seperators to organize your cards

  • And a box to keep everything in.

Ursula's Return Trove

Listed price: $109

MSRP: $49.99

You can see from the image above that the Trove from this set will include most of the same stuff as the Trove in Into the Inklands except with a big change: instead of the organizers being based on Ink types, it looks like you can now organize your cards based on rarity.

Of course, if you happen to pull one of the hyper rare and expensive Enchanted cards, I highly advise you don’t keep it in a box!

Ursula’s Return card accessories are a blast from the past

One really interesting that Ravensburger is doing in this set is to introduce new card accessories – deck boxes, sleeves, and playmats – featuring cards from past sets.

Honestly this was a fantastic idea as many people are going to love the Giant Fairy play-mat given that card’s popularity. The Snow White – Well Wisher card box and sleeves also look really good.

See how much each of these will cost you via the table below:

Description MSRP
Card Sleeves: Ursula’s Return- Genie $9.99
Card Sleeves: Ursula’s Return- Snow White $9.99
Deck Box: Ursula’s Return- Genie $5.99
Deck Box: Ursula’s Return- Snow White $5.99
Playmat: Ursula’s Return- Tinkerbell $19.99
Playmat: Ursula’s Return- Rapunzel $19.99

Lorcana Gateway

Last but not least on the product side of things, we should also mention the upcoming Lorcana Gateway product. This entry-level version of Lorcana is aimed at new players wanting to learn the game more easily. While it’s not technically revealed as part of the Ursula’s Return line of products, spoilers showing the back of the box have revealed cards from the fourth set. So we’re including it as an Ursula’s Return product.

MSRP: $24.99

Contents include:

  • 2 Starting Decks (30 cards each)

  • 4 Reward packs (18 cards each)

  • Game board

  • 2 Character movers and bases

  • Rulebook and guidebook

  • 2 Deck Tips Pamphlets
