Twilight Masquerade card list – latest spoilers May 3, 2024

All Ogerpon cards revealed

Teal Mask Ogerpon ex 025/167

Teal Mask Ogerpon ex

The Teal Mask Ogerpon lets you attach a Basic Energy card from your hand ot this Pokemon as well as allowing you to draw an extra card. This appears to be the most useful Pokemon card of the Ogerpon’s revealed so far, as it includes its own energy acceleration and draw support.

Hearthflame Mask Ogerpon ex 040/167

For three fire energy, Hearthflame Mask Ogerpon dishes out a pretty impressive amount of damage – as long as your opponent’s Pokemon is an evolution Pokemon!

Wellspring Mask Ogerpon ex 064/167

This Ogerpon has an interesting Torrential Pump attack that deals damage to a Pokemon on your opponent’s bench. However, for three energies that need to be reshufled into the deck, it’s not the most useful of attacks in the world.

Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon ex 112/167

Each of these Ogerpon ex cards have vastly different attacks and abilities, but each is interesting in its own way.

Ogre’s Mask 159/167

Teal Mask Ogerpon 024/167

Main Set Pokemon

Dipplin 018/167

This card looks seriously cool, pairing with a yet-to-be-revealed Festival Grounds card (I assume its a Stadium). If you have this card in play, Dipplin can attack twice, even if it has already knocked a Pokemon out. Given this attack is only doing about 100 damage on a full bench, I doubt Dipplin will see much play. But it’s still a really cool concept that opens up theming possibilities in deck building specifically around what’s to come in Twilight Masquerade.

Poltchageist 020/167

Poltchageist

Leafeon 011/167

I was hoping more for a Leafeon ex to come out. And while this card is a bit underwhelming for players, the artwork is especially gorgeous for a relatively common card like this one.

Eevee 135/167

Eevee 135/167

This Eevee card (while not nearly as exciting as the illustration rare version of the same card) has a nostalgic vibe that reminds me of the original Pokemon cards – enhanced with contemporary artwork that calls to mind some of the best artworks of the Scarlet & Violet era in a common card.

Ducklett 139/167

Hisuian Arcanine 100/167

Seaking 045/167

Flabebe 086/167

Main Set Pokemon ex

Blissey ex 134/167

Blissey ex 134/167

Magcargo ex 029/167

Magcargo ex has the potential to do a ton of damage. But at three energies and needing a bit of luck to land, it probably won’t be enough for this card to make it into most players’ decks.

Main Set Trainer Cards

Festival Grounds 149/167

Festival Grounds

Ultra Rare Cards

Kieran 206/167

Kieran

Other than offering a relatively generic full art, Kieran has an intriguing combination of abilities, letting you either switch one of your Pokemon into the active spot or granting your active Pokemon extra attack power. I could see this sort of utility being useful in a variety of decks.

Carmine 204/167

Carmine’s SIR form (yet to be officially revealed in English) is anticipated as being one of the top chase cards of the set. That being said, I like this card from a player’s perspective. I would run four of her and four Tatsugiri in hopes of getting a hand refresh turn one.

Iron Thorns ex 196/167

Iron Thorns ex

And just like that – the meta was forever changed. Iron Thorns ex grants a powerful one-way ability canceling effect that will give Future Decks a massive advantage in the post-Twilight Masquerade meta. I would not be surprised to see Future decks topping the list of Best Pokemon decks after this card drops and becomes tournament legal.

Illustration Rare Cards

Hisuian Growlithe (181/167)

Hisuian Growlithe

Hisuian Growlithe is the first special illustration rare card revealed in Twilight Masquerade. This picturesque alternate art is quite good, setting the stage for what is likely to be a memorable installation in the Scarlet and Violet era of Pokemon TCG.

Eevee (188/157)

Eevee

Like most Pokemon fans, I too harbor a deep love for Eevee. And this card is one of my favorite alternate arts I’ve seen to date. What’s more, the attack “Ascension” makes me wonder (and hope) if we might be in store for some powerful Eeveelution ex cards in the near future.

Applin 185/167

The Applin does not fall far from the tree – especially in this pastoral artwork that makes you want to eat an apple a day.

Cramorant 176/167

This Cramorant is unlikely to be as popular as the Cramorant from Lost Origin for players. However, it’s got gorgeous artwork that blurs the lines between animation, artwork and realism.

Tatsugiri – 186/167

Tatsugiri is looking to be a phenomenal card, especially considering it is only a single prize Pokemon. The ability to search your deck for any supporter could be a game changer for many decks that right now that focus on one or a few supporters to keep their strategy intact. Apart from the playing element, this card looks cool and vaguely calls to mind a Studio Ghibli favorite, Ponyo.

Torkoal 172/167

Torkoal 172/167

This gorgeous illustration features a working Torkoal busily heating an oven for a potter to get to work. This painterly style really helps lift the standard for illustration rare cards in a game becoming notorious for incredible alternate artworks.

Froslass 174/167

Froslass 174/167

This photo-realistic Froslass may not have the most intriguing ability, but it’s artwork is stellar, making itself a modest but vital inclusion to any Twilight Masquerade master set.

Pinsir 168/167

Pinsir 168/167

The first secret rare on the list number-wise, it’s hard for me to get too excited about Pinsir as its not a favorite Pokemon of mine. However, as far as Pinsir’s go it’s hard to imagine an artwork that depicts it better. I love the cartoony qualities of this card mixed with what almost looks like a comic book print pattern. Additionally, Pinsir’s got an intriguing attack. If you can manage to keep your opponent’s Pokemon in the active spot, it’s going to be knocked out. That could be really good against certain decks that don’t run switch cards.

Special Illustration Rare

Greninja ex (214/167)

Special Illustration Rare

If you thought Radiant Greninja was cool, just wait until you meet Greninja ex. Apart from a pretty gnarly artwork design that sees Greninja at the center of what looks like a barage of paint, Greninja ex has some pretty strong attacks. Its Mirage Barrage does what Radiant Greninja’s attack does only better – upping the ante to 120 damage to any of your opponent’s Pokemon. Meanwhile, Shinobi Blade does an impressive 170 damage but also lets you search for any card in your deck.

Radiant Greninja is going to be a big chase card for most players and hopefully they have better luck with the pull rates in this set than we got in Temporal Forces.

Perrin 220/167

This Perrin special illustration rare card has one of the coolest concepts of any special illustration rare trainer I’ve seen lately. With Perrin holding what is now a vintage camera (who uses cameras anymore?) that reflects the exact image of another illustration rare card (Growlith), it’s a fun way of connecting trainer with Pokemon. Not to mention Perrin has a pretty helpful effect making her likely to see some play in decks like Lugia VSTAR that need specific Pokemon in play for them to work.

Teal Mask Ogerpon ex 211/167

Teal Mask Ogerpon ex

So far, the artwork for Twilight Masquerade in general has been exceptional, and the same can be said about the SIR Ogerpon ex cards. Teal Mask offers a verdant green tone combined with the tera texture elements that make this artwork palpable. It’s an interesting divergence from the complicated and intricate artwork with varied landscapes and backgrounds found in Temporal Forces, but none-the-less gorgeous to behold.

Twilight MasqueradePrerelease Promos

In addition to the cards from the main and secret set, we’ve also gotten a look at the promos that will be included at Twilight Masquerade prerelease events thanks to Poke Beach. See them in the gallery below.
